It's never going to be legalized, as this would have to be a national change in law, at the Federal level. The law still says it's illegal, even though the State says it's ok for med use. What is do think is that major clarification needs to be made regarding the patient/caregiver/dispensary issues.
It's a mess right now, and it needs repair. Ann Arbor, just last night, put ANOTHER halt on the ability to open dispensaries. The only positive is at least they're really thinking about it. The DEA is demanding lists of patients and caregivers from Lansing, and who knows where else........just wait for the raids to start.
I can't even picture how to decriminalize if the DEA is fighting all the way.
I'm even afraid to go to compassion club meetings for fear of the Feds taking my picture, or watching cars for license plate numbers right now. The whole thing is changing by the day.
