By this time tomorrow we will know who the next POTUS will be
California is nice, Florida is nice, Pennsylvania is nice as far as delegates go, but Michigan today will be the King maker.
This State will be a last gasp attempt for Sanders to have any hope at all of being the Democratic (is Sanders even a Dem?) nominee for President.
If he loses there today, it is game over, checkmate, and Uncle Joe wins.
The voters in Michigan are much more representative of the demographics that exist in America today than most other States, not too Liberal, not too Conservative, not too White//Black/Hispanic/Poor or Wealthy.
So when the voters there today cast they're ballots, I hope they realize that they have the future of America in their hands, and vote wisely.

correction: *who the next democratic candidate for president is.

you know they say that about certain states jim but those old ways are no longer a predictor..kansas is supposed to be the ultimate bellweather. Sanders won Kansas in 2016..so there goes that theory.

we have the twitter now..

..and Sanders isn't going anywhere regardless of Michigan.

If Sanders, or shall I say when, loses Michigan he might as well just pack his bag and go back & grow tomatoes/herb in VT :)

I've just recently said in another thread that Michigan is going to break Sanders.

Alot of Trump people are voting Democratic so they can pick who will run against Trump. Only problem with that I'd the media will say the Democrat has x amount of votes more than Trump and will see that a a Trump loss. Other people will vote for Trump to show support for him. So if you are looking for Michigan to be a king maker you will have to wait until November

Wait, are you saying the general election is in November?

Yes that's when it counts. In Michigan you do not register as a republican or Democrat and you can change from primary to general election

Bernie isn't going to win michigan. Sorry.

The boyz keep pointing to the polls in 2016 being wrong, so they will be again. Except that this isn't 2016, Joe isn't hillary, the house isn't holding hearing after hearing, the fbi isn't announcing investigations, and pollsters have adjusted their models.

There was a lot of anti-hillary trade related crap dumped in michigan right before mini-tuesday in 2016. The momentum shifted and it wasn't picked up.

That isn't the playing field today. If anything, the polls aren't showing the shift to joe. People just don't like bernie, especially after the bs he has pulled in the last week.

But it still doesn't matter. Joe will win big in other states and he will walk away with the lions share of delegates. All he needs to do in michigan is do well. He doesn't need to win.

Bernie needs to win. But if bernie is good at one thing, it's moving goal posts. He will lose michigan and find another reason he needs to stay in the race and cause trouble.

But mathematically, he has already lost the nomination unless something catastrophic happens to joe. And even if joe went away tomorrow, bernie still wouldn't be the nominee. Another candidate would jump back in and deny him a majority of delegates at the convention, and he won't a floor vote.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bernie loses WA.

Oh, I see what you are saying. I can request a Democratic ballot in the primary and a Republican one in the general.

That's ok then.
