I clean mine more than necessary also. But hey, all I really have in this world is time and like they say, "an ounce of prevention..."
I use (4) 3 gallon tubs in a linear sea of green, with each holding 6 plants. They just move one spot from left to right every two weeks. Keeping them full can be a chore, but I've never had to water twice in a day. And the flexibility of smaller separate tubs is top notch!

Update...
The fish emulsion experiment is over... and a no go.
I checked them this morning and the first thing I noticed when i opened the door was this bad smell.... not the bad fishy smell of emulsion... but more like a mildew type smell... It could be a mix of pureblend and emulsion smells or something... but i wasn't going to take any chances.... I cleared the rez, and refilled it with pure water and a bit of h2o2... Also mixed water and h2o2 in my spray bottle and sprayed around the cab and rez. If any kind of mold or mildew is trying to take a hold in my cab.. I stoped it cold =].
I left the countryside to do some shopping and pay some bills.. I got some things for the girls... extra air pumps, air stones and such.. simple stuff I need to get then next chamber going this weekend.
The girls had been sitting in water/h2o2 mix for about 10 hours, and when checked on them, they were and are doing great =]
I'm about to change the rez again to get them back on there normal feed of pureblend.
Tomorrow I hope to have some time to get both chambers going... I'll post pics when it's done.

Last night I couldn't sleep, and got bored... So I decided to do something drastic...
I fimmed Esperasa, Spirit, and Star =]
This was my first time fimming or topping for that matter...
And it showed with my first cut........ I cut one of the leaves from Esperasa by accident!!

So what do you guys think? I hope I didn't butcher them too much, next time I'll get a fine pair of small sharp scissors. The ones I used didn't cut as well as I would like... I did clean them with alcohol, then h2o2, and then rinsed with water before making the cuts to prevent any kind of infection.

Update....
Today I changed the rez and since the girls did just fine with 2 capfuls of nutes, I raised it to 3 capfuls this time. I'll be keeping an eye for nute burn, at the first sight that they may be in trouble I will flush them, and know to back off a bit.... so far so good
I also raised the lights to the very top to promote stretch.. I want to start flowering and lst with the screen soon. Normally I would love short bushy plants, but I need them to stretch so I can lst them. I'll try to stretch them for a week then flip them to 12/12.
I'll take 2 clones from each plant after a week into flowering. I still haven't decided If i'll make a clone into a future mother and keep flowering the girls after that... or reveg one of the girls and keep her as a mother... we will see as time goes by.
The browning from Esperansa's leaves puzzled me for a wile until I realized that when i left the lit to work in the rez.. Her leaves were touching the cfl.. After a while her leaves got burnt... Now that I know, and have razed the lights, this shouldn't be a problem any more.. next time I'll be more careful.

Update......
I didn't get a chance to work on the lower chamber like i wanted this weekend... but I knew the girls needed changing cuz their roots were getting bigger.
I decided to go for it, and squeeze both tubs in the same chamber..... I actually liked the outcome so much, I'm making it permanent, and I'm going to do the same to the lower chamber after i finish it, and have clones to fill it with....
Speaking of clones...
I also upgraded my cloner from a 4 plant to an 8 plant cloner....
So as it stands now... my micro grow will have 4 plants, instead of 2, in each of the flowering chambers. 2 different clone mothers, and 8 clones, one from each mother. I love this thing =D

Having short bushy plants is a great thing... And I had always been told that cfls stretch your plants... will I found the opposite here... I'm working hard to stretch them now in order to lst them. With the lights at the very top, we will see how long it takes them to reach the screen. As soon as one of them touches the screen I will flip them to 12/12, and start watching for sex.
Right before closing the door for the nite..
Added 4 more holes, making it an 8 plant cloner..... I love how easy it is to adapt this little micro cab =]

Looking bad ass dude, those are some pretty roots ya got growing there. Your grow is making me so much more interested in dwc, it seems really cool. I'm going to do some research on it now, thanks to you

Good question...
As most of you all ready know...
I was going to veg them with Fish emulsion... but that didn't work with DWC.. and mostly just stunk up the place.
All I had was PureBlend Pro Bloom, so I began feeding them that, and they seem to love it... I don't have a ppm meter yet, so I started them with half a capful per gallon of nutes... then steadily razing it up slowly... as of now they are at 2 1/2 capfuls per gallon. I keep a close eye for nute burn... but so far so good.... I change the rez at least 2 times a week.. at my next rez change I will up the nutes to 3 capfulls per gallon.... All of this would be so much easer if I had the ppm meter.... Though now I know that I grow hydro with out one.. and thats a good thing to know. =].... by the way... I'm also using a dropper ph test kit for ph... Proving to myself that you don't need fancy, and pricey gadgets to grow.... But I'm sure they help lol.

Instead of having one large screen, why not have two separate screens for each tub so that you can do a perpetual harvest, i.e, instead of harvesting 4 plants every two months, harvest two every month.
This could be handled much more easily with separate screens.
Your tubs would be like cartridges, fire(flower) one, reload, fire again!
You could call your locker the "Lock, Crop, and Two Smoking Barrels."

Each flowering chamber will now hold 4 plants just like this one.
When it's all up and running... I should get a harvest every 3 weeks or so..

Up Date!!...
Last night I was looking at the grow cab and realized that when they do reach the top, there will be a fight for grow space, and things will be getting crowded quick... so before that happens I need to know who is male and who is staying...
So I changed the lights over to Two 26w daylight cfls, and Four 24w softwhite cfls...
the girls received only 14 hours of light, followed by 12 hours of darkness... and it's all 12/12 from here on
The lights just came on, so I'm going to take some pics and check the rez's.
.For those of you wondering how I check for ph, and clear/refill the rez... this is the maintanance hatch..

When I checked the rez's I can see that they have been drinking =]
I cleared them and refilled them... This time I added 3 capfuls of nutes per gallon.
