Midget Haze?

Hey guys,
I have a 3 week old Arjans Haze 3 growing in a secluded bathroom in my basement, there is no external ventilation except for when I open the door at night for 5 or 6 hrs, there is an oscillating fan that gently caresses the leaves, I am using x3 100W CFL`s in reflectors, have just transplanted it from 4" pots to 4 gallon pots, using MG cactus, citrus and palm potting mix with nutrients included, while in the 4" pots it was typical potting mix with no neuts only water everyday when pot is light to lift, i have not fed it for 3 weeks and only started now, the pH is 7, i use tap water that has been left standing for a coupla days to eliminate excess chlorine.

After transplanting I watered it thoroughly and have not watered it for 2 days now to let the root ball dry out, moisture meter tells me it is 'moist' at the root ball level.

The lights are approx 4-6" away as I have had heat burn problems which resulted in damage to 4 of the 2nd set of leaves, these burns have not recurred on the other leaves since moving the lights away.

The plant is bushy, green, stands proud, has so many inter-nodes I cant even see the stalk anymore..however..one problem..the little shit is only 4" tall..

can someone PLEASE tell me what the F**K im doing wrong?!

Thank you

Plants grow fastest as the soil dries out. Try to let at least the top half of the soil dry out completely before watering. There appear to be signs of nutrient burn as well.

Yo Mama, these arent neut burns there heat burns as a result of having my x3 100W CFL`s too close when it was about a week old, I have only just started feeding it via neuts in the soil I dont add anything of my own, now I watered it when I transplanted which was on 02/01/2011 and have not watered it since, moisture meter is fucked and tells me something new everyday I guess I`ll just have to go by weight, how long do you figure should I let it dry out? its been 2 days now, I figure another day or 2 do you concur?

Wait until at least the top half of the soil is bone dry. Stick a finger in and if you only feel dry, brittle soil then it's time to water.

Thanx a million Mama! one more question..I was forced to move the plant from the bathroom to the roof and im worried it will start to flower is there anything I can do to avoid this? Flowering early aside the roof will provide sunlight, fresh CO2 and O2, and a perfect temp this time of the year so those are all pluses, the top half of the soil is dry and I have watered it a little today, will keep checking moisture levels till I water again but could you please shed some light on my new problem? Thanx again

Preventing flowering usually means giving them more than 13hrs of light. When outside, the season may prevent flowering but otherwise, you have to add light either by bringing it to the plant or bringing the plant to the light.

You said the pH was 7. How did you check it? The soil itself should be tested for pH and 7 is a little high. Make sure the temps are ok. If your hand feels warm from the lights at canopy level, adding some airflow might help. A fan blowing on the plants helps dissipate heat and encourage thicker stems. If you have a nice broad watering cycle that goes from well wet to very neary dry then watering should be fine. Make sure the temps and soil pH are ok and make sure it has enough Phosphorus. There are some signs of what could be early P deficiency
