damn thats crazy. ive never seen that mike. im interested to see that 1 finish. id use 4 1/2 inch pots for that. idk seems like your gonna be cutting it close. i personally would say 1 gal pots and about 10 inches. i know first hand you only want to do so many plants. shoot for half as many and twice as much on each. id recommend you let me donate this querkle mother to you! i think it would do great with this. but ya. i truely have learned more is not always better lol.

I feel like a real newbie here, I'm trying to subscribe to ievolution and mikegreenthumb's journals here and I'm not finding a subscribe link. I just started my first indoor 400w soil grow and I'm interested to read up on your guys' adventures!

at the top of page thread tools is written lightly click it and it has options to sub etc

only way to find out is to try it right ?? was getting about a half per plant with 4 week veg 2 gal bags i know in theory its just as easy to get that or more this style so ima try it and see read the above micro growing cut and paste i did

Sweeeet, thanks for letting me tag along. I will have some questions about nutrients, I'm looking to order a tri-set of Fox Farms nutrients, GrowBig, BigBloom and TigerBloom.

I'm a little over-whelmed because I'm not familiar with all the chemistry yet, but I hear you just have to error on the side of caution with the concentration of nutrients/water and you should be fine?

What kind of feeding schedule do you administer when you're working with soil? And are the different types (BigBloom, GrowBig) designed for different periods in the grow cycle (eg. veg vs flowering)?

Hey mikegreenthumb, I had so much fun looking through your journal last night (no homo) hahaha, that I decided to make my own! It was easier than I thought and maybe you'd be so kind as to take a look once in a while, you might even see things out of place that I wouldn't recognize. I appreciate your help and can't wait 'til you post more photos. I think I did that right including my journal URL as a trackback? I'm still new to this...

i use fox farms grow big and tiger bloom and bat guano and i use em when i need em way more art than science

plants are growing quick even in the flower room all the clones are taking off swell prob 15 more need to root then ill chill on clones for a few weeks till i put these in flower i did math and can fit 140 plants in flowering room the style im trying so gonna put in bout 35 every two weeks till i decide if i like this style if i do ima have 4 custom grow boxes made that to fill that room 2 1/2 feet tall then ill lift the lights this way theyll have WAY more root room and ill have to water less and yield will increase so its gonna be kinda a lego grow box that is seperated in fours so that i can pull em out and in and keep it perpetual way easier to maintain hella versitile

id be happy to keep an eye on your grow bro and ill help any way i can i'm all about peeps growing there own and growing the best cannabis possible ill help do that anyway anytime i can

That's a pretty sick idea now that I've taken a closer look, how many grams you think you'll yield off of a foot tall plant?

Are they all going to be that tall? That's kinda the idea I'm going for right now only possibly maybe grow mine a bit larger to make up for any males that may jump in the mix.

Do you start cloning a couple weeks after flowering when you've establish feminism (haha)? Or do you have a mother just kickin' it helping you out to make the clones?

right now i got 11 moms i think
if growing a mum from seed i grow out maybe 10 seeds let em get big clip a clone from each keeping track of what clone came from witch parent flower those clones check sex then kill the male parent plants and clones once they gimme a sign as to what the parent plant is continue flowering the female clones for maybe 4 weeks pick the best one best smelling most vig growth etc keep that mom then u got a prize winning mom that swam to the deep end of the gene pool

Ok that makes sense, why didn't I think of that?! I've never cloned before, is it a hard adventure, is there a minimum height you want to grow the parents to before you clone them to reduce the risk of death post-surgery?

ITS SO EASY the reason i put it like that is soo many people get intimidated by cannabis you can hack a plant down to a few fan leaves and it come back strong as before ive seen a stem grow back a plant i mean everything wilted and looked dead as fuck 2 weeks later a beautiful purple plant that was stronger than ever

scroll back a few pages and i tell how i get so much success cloning and how to get quick root set but basically get some clone gel snip a branch clean it up leaving just a few top fan leaves and stick it a medium and wait a week or so misting twice a day and you got a exact copy of a plant you love

Ok, so here's my next question (I will def go back track and read more), I have 8 plants that are almost 4 weeks in on veg (mainly grown on CFL, a weak CFL none the less) with a few days of MH growth tacked on.

Should I try my luck at making clones of these and try to determine sex instead of wasting my time growing these girls from seed and taking a chance? How long do you grow the clones for before you induce flowering? AND, how do you induce flowering if you only have one grow room? Do I have to separate parents and children?

Oh yes, and do you have to veg the clones at all before you flower them in order for them to recognize the different light cycles? Or can you simply throw clones in 12/12 and they'll know what to do? AND hahaha, sorry I feel like a nag, can you flower under the CFL's?

dont feel that way no problem at all
you have to have a veg and flower room to do this otherwise there is no reason to have a mother plant and pretty much no way to have a mother plant

yes you can flower under cfls i know a guy that teaches a grow class on growing under floros thats all he use's

clones recognize light always and adapt its theory if seeds do or not

yes you do have to veg for a lilttle bit so that you devolope a strong root system
