Mildew indoors sog grow

Thats a lot of dehumidification for his space. You really think he needs more or is the moisture in the air being replenished from an outside source?

Yah you’re right he has enough probably. Sounds like he just has too much going on for the size room. IDK

Humidity is drawn to low humidity. He needs to seal that basement and then dial in all the peripheral equipment so they’re not contributing to the problem, like an Ac blower fan set on too high a speed.

I found out the ac is actually 3.5 ton. Today he is going to start remodeling and building a return/supply ducts for the ac, adding a co2 generator. he thinks he has the humidity situation figured out or at least going to try something new.

He wanted me to ask about these leds,

HLG 600W QB288 V2

right now hes using 10 1000w hps as was thinking about upgrading to those. Considering the plants are only 1-1.5 ft tall do you think two of those light could give the same results on a 4x8 table as the hps? Also he assumes the would probably transpire less.

The HLG is a great light, @DoubleAtotheRON has some running in his grow and loves them.

With LED you actually need to run a little warmer canopy temperature since they lack the infrared that the HPS puts out.

interesting. He was told his ac is too big for his room. hes going to try downsizing the ac along with upgrading his light. downsizing the ac will use less continuous load on the power and run longer dehumidifying more air. Running scrubbers in the room without negative room pressure works a little bit. but its not enough. the room needs the slightest bit of negative pressure to control the odor 100%.
