And if you were offered a spectra 500 for 675 shipped, would youuu jump on it?520 watts of actual draw. Also what would the slowerimg coverage be? Sry for jackimg thread

A spectra 500 for under700$ sounds good to me. Thats almost half off, and near 1$ a watt, which is pretty great in the led world. Be sure to find out what version it is so you can plan accordingly.

I think you were saying Irish owns the company? Not sure really, but i would say no. He seems to report his findings and experiences even when they are bad, which wouldn't make sense if it were his company.

Sorry all for no updates, busy with life, you all know how that goes.

The plants are doing great, finished week 5, getting on the home stretch. Plants have frosted very nicely and look very happy and healthy.

They are putting on their weight, I am eger to see how it ends up. Just speculation, I don't think I have maximized the yield of this light simply due to length of buds I'm seeing, i think i could actually let them stretch more. We'll soon enough :)

Thanks! I am pretty excited myself. By what version i meant there are about 3 different version of the Spectra 500, more so there are 3 generations or more. Just try to ask what version it is if they know.

UPDATE TIME!! FINALLY :p

One of these days i will get in there and examine the littler buds to see how they are developing. to be honest, i havent even checked.

How much was your L.E.D setup? great outcome so far!
:)
The LED i have was about $400 when i bought it. I certainly paid a premium as there were less trustworthy, credible companies at the time, so i paid a bit more for security.

Updates INC!

I thought i would copy some math over to this thread as well, just to give an idea of what my goals are and the marks to hit.

I FINALLY got around to measuring my Spectra 120, and it turns out it pulls 170w pretty consistently. I dont imagine much more than 10w for the fans, so i figure 160w or so for just the light, but since its all in one, lets just call it 170.

So 170W is my benchmark, i was told it was around 180, so that was pretty close indeed.

So for quick math:

170 G would be 1gram per watt (obviously  )
85 G would net me .5 g/w
42.5 G would land me at .25g/w

So this equals out to (rounded)
6 oz =1 g/w
3 oz =.5 g/w
1.5 oz =.25 G/w

I know grams per watt is not the best measurement of success, but its still a pretty good baseline.

If you go by the floor space measurement im at 14x22(in) OR 2.14 sq feet. this equals out to about .2 square meters (.2 m²)

comparing that to the Spec sheet from nirvana "Average yield: 400 - 500 (g/m² in SOG)" modified to equal the same area = 80-100 G/.2m²

So if i hit anywhere around 80-100 i will be doing the genetics justice, and netting over .5g per watt, which is good in any book, though closer to 1g/w would be fantastic, i really dont think this is the strain or conditions to do it.

Thanks for the support!

My guess is 5.2 oz..... I hope you are still offering a prize lol. I'm just kidding you're gonna pull 2 lbs.

Haha thanks for the support, i would love that outcome :)

I am still offering up two killing fields from sannies seeds, fem.

Of coarse I won't be personally giving the seeds or sending them. An anonymous third party will handle that and i will have no part in this step. Likely it will be from a breeder directly. ;)
