Miracle Grow Rose Plant Food

Hey everyone...

Just a quick intro...this is my first grow and i live in a country where i do not have access to "branded" soils and nutes and i managed to get to the flowering stage with some minor problem. i am now in the flowering stage and i managed to get my hands on Miracle Grow Rose Plant Food. The composition is NPK 18-24-16. i know i need a nute with higher P hence i think this is gonna work. my concern is that its not organic and its used for flowers not fruits and vegetables. The other food i use is organic and is used for fruits (NPK 15-6-7). Picture of product

Any suggestions or has anyone used this before??

And there far better available now that won't need so much monitoring as feeding with that.
Why not just go with a specific product created for the plant grown?
Cannabis isn't a rose or even close.

Yeah it should be fine my friend, its all the same chemicals, and as to your worry of it being used for flowers instead of fruits & veggies, Cannabis is closer to flowers, genetically speaking. happy growing, good luck!

I know that cannabis is closer to flowers...but the problem is u never smoke flowers but u do eat fruits and vegetables....see where im gettin at?

it's plant "food", it works.

can you not get the miracle grow bloom? if not what you have will work fine. people are too worried about nutes today if u ask me. all this name brand shit that that everyone claims is better than the other, when almost ALL of it is derived from the same shit in the same factories. keep it simple.. happy growing!!!

ide listen to fdd here. If it is what you have its what you have. Definitely use it over nothing. Personally I've seen some amazing miracle grow bud.

If that's all you can get then the answer is simple. But you may look into making your own.

Start a fire with untreated natural wood. Collect ashes and some dirt from under it. Throw in a bunch of worms, banana slices and peels, horse or cow shit, pretty much a compost pile in a 50 gallon drum. Water it every few days for 2 weeks. Flood it, save run off and there's your plant food, adjust your barrel as needed if you need more N add stuff thats biodegradable that's hi on nitrogen. Same for p and k.

Marijuana is a flower, I smoke opium, that's also a flower, so yeah I do smoke flowers. I also eat flowers, many different flowers are used for spices. Like I said the chemical used for the rose is the same you are going to get from a bag of tomato fert, it just has different values.

The only problem ive had with mg nutes is lock outs do to ph issues and my ph stuff is out right now so i have some of that going on now so just keep in eye out for yellowing tips. It wont kill it but the harvest will suffer cuz it will be missing a mineral or 2 that helps it grow correctly. Just start slow and add untill your girls get nice and dark then watch them turn yellow unless you check run off and nute waters ph every time you water and dont over ph up and ph down if you pass that lovely greenish color once just start. Over [ once you get a ph kit ull know what i mean] and anything not in direct light will start to harden like i said youll get through the grow just not as much as you should be getting

just so you know, this thread is 6 years old. probably wont' get a response.

I know but it pops up on google when you search hardware store nutes for cannabis so i figured id throw my 2 cents in because alot of people.are scared of MG products but the issue is the people that use mg products are in a pinch and in soil so they dont test the run off or the water after they mix the nutes and MG tends to make ur water neutral or even alkaline because its for people who dont know what they are doing and are growing potatos or flowers that like the soil very even but cannabis likes it a little acidic. And you need to adjust accordingly or just let your yeild/ taste suffer for a few grows untill you get your hands on a test kit and or better soil/nutes more suitable for cannabis.

Btw do you know where i can find a dirt cheap test kit with ph up and down. Like i said in the early post im out and the last place i went was 4 years ago at gro stuff and i know it was like 30 bucks or so for big big bottles of it but i know it has to be cheaper. Some place else

i tried the mg back in 2000,, it worked fine just make sure to ballance the ph if in hydro,, and a final flush will get rid of chemicals if thats a worry.. i use gh maxi series as its cheap and grows killer weed, im about to try jacks classic citrus... i bought 2 types of mg one was the tomatoe i think,,idk but i know one had a higher n i used for veg then the tomatoe had higher p and k i used in flower.. i still use them outdoors the one that hooks to the hose and u add the crystals when needed,, i use it in my garden for tomatoes, green peppers,onions, lettuce, and lots of different herbs etc..



Use With Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder.

Fill Jar
Fill feeder jar with one of the Miracle-Gro water soluble plant foods.

Attach Hose
Attach feeder to garden hose and turn on water.

Set Sprayer
Choose your desired spray pattern by turning the yellow spray head.

Feed and Water
Squeeze trigger and begin spraying, soaking the base of the plants. Remember to always follow the label instructions.
