I spoke to a grower today who uses a telescope turned upside down to look at them. Some growers use a large magnifying glass.

Then there are jewelers loupes and loupes used to look at 35 mm film slides.

Radio Shack has a small battery operated lighted microscope for about $14 that can be found on the internet for about $8 or $9.

With the smaller microscope, it is easy to cut a sample of a trim leaf off, and take it to the kitchen table, holding it with tweezers, laying it on a white dinner plate to examine it.

Just my $.02... if you want something right away, the little radioshack one is great. I'm sure there are better ones, but it's cheap, and it works fine.

the ones in ontario suck. there is nothing there. just go to ebay and order it. it should come within 2 weeks if you have that much time.

the one that i have is from ebay, i can see anywhere from 2-3 trichs to 10-15 (mind you that you cant really see if they are clear or cloudy from that magnification).

The on-off switch is a bugger. Sometimes works, sometimes doesnt, but you gotta press down on it to turn on lol. One time, i forgot to turn it off, left it on for 2 days and it still works fine.
