Hi everyone...I have been lurking around here for awhile...Finally decided to try my hand at producing something smokeable......lol
I am actually currently at the 3 week mark...... But I have been keeping notes I apologize for my phone pics.....
The challenges I am dealing with is I am doing this all on the cheap route....If this batch works..Then I can upgrade.....
Please feel free to comment or whatever.....
Week 1: I started germinating 14 bagseeds. I do have some ordered feminized seeds BUT I am afraid I will ruin them.
I wrapped the seeds in some wet paper towels. Most of them started to crack within 24 hours.
I left them in the paper towels for 3 days. I then transferred to an organic seed starter mix in those brown almost cardboard like pods. (In retrospect not the best move) I will explain.
They all sprouted up. but there was a huge issue with them sustaining enough moisture.
I have them under flouro lights only because that is what I had. 24/7
I was also only using tap water
See pics 1 and 2
Week 2: I get the bright idea to transplant them into "solo" cups. With out putting holes in the bottom. DUH! And with that same mix. Within 2 days and my escessive watering.or the ph ( I tested it)....the leaves started to yellow. I have also noticed 3 gnat like bugs flying around the plants.
So .....Its makeover time..... this is what I did I went to lowes and got a ph tester. Some regular top soil. And some distilled water. And rubber gloves.
When I got home only the strong survive!!!! So I transplanted AGAIN ( I know, its bad) When I transplanted them i buried them rather deep to help them stay low and bigger. I prepped 8 solo cups with holes in the bottom to let out excess water. I rinsed the roots with distilled water and transplanted into regular topsoil. Then I waited to see if they survived... Ohh and I put a ladybug down there
Week 3: So far so good.

I think they look soooo much better!!! Do you think they look ok size wise for there age?
Thanks MissLady
