Mites & Azamax

High all. Ive the dreaded two spotted spider mites. Had just went to 12/12 and they showed up.
I used a alcohol/water 50/50 mix ,which really knocked them down, alternatly with Azamax so have them under control , sorta haha.
I dont want to use anymore chems now that im into flower a ways but want to introduce preadator mites.
My big concern is killing the good mites. Does anyone know how long I should wait to introduce them after last using Azamax on 11-1-13 ?
I cant find any info on how long that stuff is viable.

Get some Neem Oil, mix it up, and ""water"" them instead of spraying...it takes about 2 weeks to start working, but it works from the inside of the plant and you can use it everytime you water/feed...it got rid of my spidermite prob and now I use it to pretreat all my plants, everytime...good luck...

Thanks riknstein for the first reply to my first post. I might try that on future grows but right now I want to use the preds to finish with.

I have a mite problem right now as well, I am only 3 days into flower and will be using some azamax. After doing some research it looks like azamax needs to be ingested by the mites to really work. Which is why it can be used as a drench or a foliar. My "guess" is that the predator mites will not be nearly as effected as the problem mites mainly because they will not be eating any part of the plant. They will be eating mites that have eaten the plant though. (Sorry if this is all info you already know)
If it were me I would give it another week to introduce them. Good Luck

It was wrong but it was a "guess". I just spoke to a rep for Azamax at a Hydro store event. He said you basically have to choose what path you want to go down and stay on it. Meaning use something else if you want to use predator mites later. It will continue to kill mites regardless of what kind. He didn't hesitate much in giving the answer either.

Do yourself a favor and have a look at Mighty Wash by NPK industries.

Also did you ever think what happens when the predator mites finish off the spider mites? They eat one another. Survival of the fitness boys. (Ricky quote).
Them eating their own isn't really a bad thing I guess, in the end I'd like to have insect free plants whether they are doing harm to the plant or not.

Set off a pyrethrin bomb I've never had good results with predatory mites nor have I ever known anyone to have good results using them. The AzaMax won't kill the predatory mites unless you spray them with it. Remember that older mites and the eggs are more difficult to eradicate and that's why it's best to spray three times minimum in three day intervals. Also make sure to mix a surfactant such as Coco-Wet with the Azamax to make sure your plants get even coverage. Spray the bottom and tops of the leaves. Spray the stalks and spray the pots as well as your medium. Spray the floor and make sure that your plant as wet as if it fell into a lake.

Use Avid in conjunction with tetrasan as a dip (or spray if you must) Rotate application every 28 days with Floramite / tetrasan. Use PPG or suffer.

im battling them right now too, but ive gone full blown nuclear - using azamax, forbid 4f, and pyrethrins.

also mighty wash is good but is really overpriced for what it is ( a simple insecticidal soap, with no ingredients listed anywhere on the bottle btw), and i would go with a more reasonably priced option. (i consider more expensive items like forbid to be more reasonably priced because of efficacy and how long the product will actually last)
