Mites right before harvesting.. question

So I'm entering week 8 of flower and just noticed mites (and a few webs) a couple of days ago.

I cleaned it the best I could and didn't see any mites on the leafs or underneath. Today I noticed web around one single bud again so I'm considering spraying it with alcohol for the next should weeks, as I've been reading around the forum a lot of people commenting on it's effectiveness.

I also added a fan ( the air flow wasn't great until then) and I'm lowing the temps in my room to see if that helps

My questions is: should I spray the entire plant with the water/iso mix or should I avoid the buds? I don't mind loosing potency over smoking clean buds but I'm confused if that's what people do

another question is, should I consider washing the buds? I read about it and also saw some on youtube showing how, but never done that before and looks scary to dip the buds in lime juice and water

thank you!!

I would spray everything. The alcohol diluted to 35% or a little less won't harm the potency. And then like Herb & Suds said, wash them when you harvest.

"Every time you hear a pop when you smoke, it's a mite exploding." Your buds are going to sound like popcorn when it burns. Mites live partially in the invisible world. I never had mites until I got a 25x loupe. Then I was in line buying products. :)

How did you look on the underneath?

You will never rid mites in flower without ruining the smoke

Best you can do is wash buds before drying

how would you recommend washing?

so I left the plant unchecked since last night and today around 9am I inspected it throughly and only found one little webbing on top of a bud, very little tho. So I'm guessing the infestation isn't out of control yet.

So I sprayed the diluted iso all over the plant a few times with 3 fans around it - it's been two hours and no signs of webbing so far. Should I repeat this everyday? I'm probably a week or two from harvesting

Here's how she's looking right now. Do you guys think thee are signs of mold as well?

just with naked eye, i saw a few black dots but nothing moving
those might be just specks abd nothing more, dirt etc you know but if you have mites cut the colas into smaller pieces and wash them in a deep bucket with hydrogen peroxide and water by dipping and shaking them in the bucket. then into clean water in another bucket. after that hang dry the buds.

well I know they are mites because a few nights ago I spotted webbing on top of four buds, but I haven't seen any mites yet
these are pictures from the night when I saw the weebibg

Use potassium bicarbonate in the first wash tub. Potassium bicarbonate can also be added to the alcohol spray. When I do that I add ¼-½tsp castile soap to the mixture as well. The potassium bicarbonate will kill pm and bud rot.
Good luck friend!

where do I find that?

I saw a few little fuckers on two buds this morning, so I sprayed some more alcohol and decided to trim every leaf in order to slow the spread, since that's where they lay their eggs. It's probably going to be an ongoing battle until I harvest it. I guess I have no choice but get a new tent

No, you dont need to get a new tent. You need to clean it and bug bomb it with canisters that list fleas, bedbugs and lice as targeted pests.

well my "tent" is a handmade cabinet with plywood that I made for growing so getting a tent would be an update anyways
