Continuing to fill out nicely. The Sangria (back left), an experimental freebie seed, F1 I think, is showing some deficiency, but maybe just flawed genetics too. I’ve definitely encountered the occasional bad seed with autos. Added a bit of cal-mag to yesterday’s watering. Also upped the ph a little with baking soda, in case low ph was perhaps affecting uptake. Doubt it, but can’t see any harm either! Other three seem to be doing pretty well! Day 39 for the big girls.

Hungry girls these days, drinking up about a gallon each every other day. I left a bit of room at the top of the pots with the thought of adding a layer midway through or as needed, but I fear the soil was the source of the gnats, and I don’t want to use what I have left. Still seeing an occasional gnat, but very few in the traps, and I’ve continued to add the microbe lift once a week or so.

Day 42 or so. Filling out nicely. Front Forum Stomper has started to reach and show a little fade. I’m thinking it might be signs of early light burn. Could be hungry too. I’m only using the dry amendments this time. Will add some Epsom salt for the watering they need later today. Might start giving less than the 24 hrs of light I was planning to try this run. We’ll see. Others look happy, including the Skywalker which I’ve not had great success with in my one prior attempt. We will see. Problems usually start at this point for me, if they’re going to start. Raised light and turned down to around 75%

Around Day 48. The late bloomers have stretched and are almost but not quite as tall as the Forum Stompers. Seeing some suspected light burn on the top stomper leaves, especially one which seems particularly sensitive (showing a little fade a some canoeing on the top leaves). I raised the light a bit more and will see how she does. Maybe just a genetically fragile phenotype, which I’ve had before with autos. Pretty happy with the progression of the Skywalker OG, which i struggled with on my last grow. Buds are starting to build up. Some nice odors coming out too.IMG_2428.jpegIMG_2427.jpegIMG_2426.jpegIMG_2425.jpeg

Just caught up on the entire grow, nice moose. I'm surprised that the Skywalker isn't taller. Maybe that's the auto in it, cause my Skywalker was up in my lights. They look great

Autos definitely are their own beasts, and this one is very different than the other one I grew, though that plant had serious driver caused issues, and its product was less than perfect. That plant was an early lesson for me in how finicky autos can be. They definitely grow much shorter than their photo counterparts. Lots of that is attributable to the truth that they start flowering around 21 days in regardless of what you do. I’m really happy with this skywalker though, knocking on wood.

Day 53 update. Mostly have stopped growing up and starting filling in. Some nice, stinky stuff happening. The tallest plants continue to show some leaf yellowing up top. I think it’s too much light, which I’ve dialed back a little. I cut away some of the leaves that clearly had nothing left to give; trimmed some others that were blocking the lower stuff. Forum Stompers are bushy and should produce pretty nicely if I can keep them healthy-ish to the end. As a side note, my favorite plant of the last round had similar faults (I take all responsibility), and I let some of the dying leaves higher up go too long, but the plant still ended up producing buds I continue to take pride in daily. Running low soon!

I’m trying to slow down some of the yellowing issues by raising lights and slightly lowering intensity. Added some Epsom for the second time in two weeks. My semi-accurate Photone readings have things in the mid 600s ppfd, high 50s to 60s dli, running 24 hours, @75% as I have been. Too much light possibly, and I’ll likely dial back to 18 hours a day for the final weeks of this run. Thinking about it anyway, though running 24 hours was meant to be an experiment. Stony Sunday morning with my head in the tent, nice buzz a daily reminder of how kind the buds on these branches have the potential to become.

Coming along nicely as we push day 60. Some yellowing leaves in the highest buds. Likely a combo of nutrient needs and too much light. Things have improved/slowed down since I raised the lights and turned down to around 75%. Still running 24 hours. These girls have never seen darkness. Forum Stompers getting pretty frosty. Still getting a few gnats. Bastards. Don’t see them otherwise. I’ve rotated the yellow traps pretty regularly. Girls continue to be pretty thirsty. Dark green plant is the Skywalker, with some cool, stalky colas forming.

Running only dry amendments (Dr Earth 4-6-3 about 30 days in) and a couple more inches of fox farm, which may well be where the new gnats came from, but seemed worth it. Pistils starting to turn on the stompers.

Day 69 - Not too much change on the Forum
Stompers (top two pics), the furthest along, just putting on bulk. Mephisto advertises that these are ready in 65-75 days - I know I know, a plant follows no schedule - but I also think it wouldn’t be unreasonable to harvest the Stompers now. They have at least 90% brown pistils at this point, though I hope to let them go a week or two more still. Nice and frosty. The Skywalker (third pic) is starting to change colors as well and smells wonderful, while the sangria is the furthest behind (and the last to sprout.) Highest parts of the plants continue to yellow a little and I’ve removed some leaves, which was probably needed anyway. Still running this awesome light at 75% with decent clearance above the canopy. I think the 24 hours does speed things up compared to my last grow of the same variety. Not perfect, but I’m expecting a pretty nice harvest here.

My math is flawed, lol. We’re somewhere in the early 70s now for day count. The two Forum Stompers are within the window. I’ll probably take them down next week, one of them at least. They’re at 95% or more brown pistils and almost all frosty trichs, a few starting to amber. Some leaves slowly dying also. The other two are slightly behind. Skywalker is stalky and starting to turn pretty quickly. The Sangria stretched more than expected and she’ll be the last to go down. Some nice rewards coming soon.

Day 76 for the biggest plants, and this is the last group shot, as one came down tonight. 76 days is one past the breeders recommendation and really just about right for many. Mostly cloudy trichs, a few amber - the trichomes really cover this plant, and I kept the sugar leaves for cooking. I plan to take the sister plant down in a week to 10 days for a comparison, but we’ll see. The buzz can be slightly different, and I like both. The other two are a little further behind, which makes sense. Pics below - last group shot and one final pic of the two Forum Stompers together. Really frosty plants. Also some close ups of trichomes, with a few amber showing but mostly cloudy. And the drying rack with the chopped up plant. Really happy with the first round, and also glad to break this process up over many days. One down! I’ll keep updating as I harvest the other plants and will try to keep track of weights as they go into grove bags. First plant has some thick and stinky nugs. The light has been great.IMG_2562.jpegIMG_2565.jpegIMG_2568.pngIMG_2567.pngIMG_2566.pngIMG_2571.jpeg

New look with one plant down. Getting cool around these parts, and I needed to reintroduce the small heater. Three different varieties, all in slightly different phases. IMG_2576.jpeg

Here’s a shot with the new stuff drying opposite the plant that came down last week and has now lost some color and mass. This is the haul from the two Stompers. Will post weights when they are dry enough to put on Grove bags.

Only two left. Skywalker at 80+ days looking ready (on the left and solo below). I’ll take her down today or tomorrow (more amber on the trichs than I expected. But a cool looking plant with great scent. Excited to try it.

Forum Stomper 1 is ready for bagging after six days on the rack, wet trimmed, in a room with 58-60% humidity and around 64f. I jarred them over night to double check humidity; filled two large mason jars which settled in at 60% humidity, so I put them in Grove Bags this morning. Won’t open these for two weeks or so. Total dry/bagged weight of plant one: @74.8 grams, or a tad over 2.5 ounces.

Skywalker OG (from Barney’s) came down today, day 83 or so. Here are some before and after and a sample of one of the colas. There was also much more of it than I thought, which I realized as I started to cut in. Buds are nice a dense. Excellent plant, though it’s also worth mentioning the other two from this pack didn’t fair as well. This one’s great though. I expect to clear 3.5z or so, but we’ll see in a week or ten days or however long the dry takes. This one will definitely be the biggest producer of the four, which I didn’t see coming till today.
