What's up rollitup. It's been years since I've been on here. I've upgraded quite a bit since those days. I will just use this grow journal to see my progress and take notes. Any questions or comments feel free to comment. I'm very busy these days so I'll do my best to keep this up to date and respond to anyone who posts.

Currently, we're using (7) 1,000 watt HPS in the flowering room along with a bunch of T5's in the mother/clone/veg room. Everything is grown in coco on raised tables. Some are in smart pots, others are in regular 3 gallon pots. We are currently testing out home & garden against my tried and true preferred method of a modified lucas formula (flora micro and bloom). I also use hygrozyme and koolbloom liquid and powder at specific points in the grow, also calmag (RO water). The room is heated and air conditioned, I'll try to get some better pics of the whole room soon. We do NOT use co2. All drain to waste. The long row in the picture consists of J1, Mango, and skywalker. The individual 6 foot table is filled with chem d and one little "heavy og" (master x tahoe og). We love to top, FIM, supercrop, etc...We basically beat the shit outta our plants in veg in the most loving way possible, haha.

I'll get some better pics up soon of the veg room too...Thanks for looking!

Well, everything is coming along nicely. The room need some serious organizing, hopefully I will get that done tonight. I did not get any pictures of the veg/mother room, I will do that tonight. However, I did start a new batch of future mothers at another location to have more flexibility. For these new mothers, I took cuttings of Tahoe OG (2 mothers, because I love this cut), Heavy OG (Master x Tahoe og), girl scout cookie, and Chem D. I traded my heavy og cut to my friend for a seriously awesome bubba that I grew years ago when I started growing, very happy to be getting this cut back :) Here is a pic of the future mothers photo 2.jpg

And here are some pictures I took last night in the flower room...

Second update. Just got back. Gave the chem d tray a nice feeding at about 800 ppm, ph 5.9. Growth is explosive. I pinched a few more stems that were stretching above the rest of the canopy. They are now at 7 days of 12/12. chem d tray.jpg
The stems are getting nice and thick, especially for only giving a 3 week veg: chem d stem flash.jpg

The Mango/Skywalker tray is about ready to be harvested, flush is commencing now. No pics of those today.

Here are a few pics of one of the veg rooms. My partner prefers to veg partially in red party cups: veg room partner.jpg

I prefer to throw rooted clones straight into their final home, smart pots: veg room my plants.jpg

J1 mothers lookin all sorts of beat up: j1 mother 2.jpgj1.jpg

Took a few more chem d clones. Honestly, out of all the rooting compounds I've tried (olivia's, hormex powder, a couple others), I really prefer clonex gel. I find it has the fastest rooting time, I use it along with the clonex mist and solution. I've had the best success this way in either rockwool cubes or root riot cubes. I have found, however, that certain strains take longer to root (of course). For strains that take longer to root, I prefer rockwool because it holds moisture longer. cloning gel.jpgmaking clones 2.jpg

Not sure if anyone reads this, but thanks for looking!

Oh snap, I'll be on this ride with ya. I have a couple chem d cuts myself so I can see what, if any, issues you get with this strain. I've never been able to actually grow the same genetics at the same time with someone else, SCORE!

Hey ipackedthisbowl4two, that sounds cool man. I just got back from the flower room, everything is looking good. Finally got the net over the chems (i always wait too long). We have a couple gems in our mother rooms we flowered out clones from, like this OG, i'm not sure what cut it is, but it smells like the epitome of og (insane smell!!) and has golf ball sized nugs all over the place, super frosty as well: crazy og.jpg

Here is the chem tray:chem.jpgchem tray 2.jpgchem 5.jpgchem 4.jpg

I basically gave them their last super-cropping of their life tonight, pinched a bunch of stems to train them through the net.

Here is the rest of what we've got goin on: long row.jpgpartner.jpgpartner 3.jpgpartner 4.jpgpartner 5.jpg

I gave the chems a small boost of liquid koolbloom today, very very light (1ml per gallon). Currently I'm running all GH (except cal-mag and hygrozyme), (per gallon of RO water) 7ml flora micro, 14ml flora bloom, 1-2ml GH silica (helps raise the ph), 1-2ml cal-mag (botanicare), 1/2 ml floralicious plus, 6ml hygrozyme. ph 5.9. it all comes out to about 800 ppm. I'm happy with the results, I've used this recipe for a long time and have had great results. We have one big carbon filter scrubbing but I think it's time we add another onto our exhaust. Hopefully we will add a co2 burner soon. More to come...

Hello RIU, another busy day for me. The highlight was early cutting a side branch from the killer og we have, it looks and smells amazing, here are some shots: early cut flash.jpgearly cut flash 2.jpg
I can't wait until this one is finished.

Other than that, not much to report. The chems are stretching quite a bit, but are starting their pre-flowers. Everything looks lush and green, the chems have such strong branches, they are basically knotted where the branch meets the main stem: chem branches 2.jpgchem stem no flash.jpg

Here are some pics of the chem tray: chem tray 1.jpgchem tray 3.jpg

Here is some other goin-ons, J1: left tray cola 1.jpg

Tray being flushed, cut tomorrow: harvest tray.jpg

Other stuff: right side.jpg

Next round: his veg.jpgmy veg.jpg

Took some clones from my healthiest chem: chem roots 2.jpgchem roots.jpg

That's all to report for now, goodnight!

moms are looking nice and green. In my genetic collection right now I have chem d, tahoe og (the real cut), girl scout cookie, heavy og (tahoe x master), and a really good bubba that turns purple. mothers.jpg

Couple pics of the moms. I will probably be trashing the heavy og (master x tahoe og), I have one in flowering and I'm not really like how it looks. I'll let it finish and make the decision then. Mothering space is full, so I'd love to pick up a different strain if I'm not happy with the heavy. I took a bunch of clones from the big tahoe, so it's lookin a little beat up.
From top left: Heavy OG, Chem D, Tahoe OG. Second row: Girl Scout Cookie, Tahoe OG, clone dome. All of the little ones in party cups are Chems. moms 1.jpg

moms 2.jpg

We did some serious organizing and cleaning in the flower room. Picked up a shelf for our ballasts. Feels good to have a very clean room again. The chems have finally started to pop pistils out of their little popcorn beginning nugs. Partner started out a new tray of J1. Everything is looking great, pretty happy with everything. I'll try to get some lights out pictures tonight, taking pics under all the HPS lights always look like shit.

Hellooooo RIU, is annyyybooodddyyy outtt theeerrrreee???

I am so happy with these Chem D cuts I got, everything is looking beautiful. Right now I'm feeding (per gallon, RO water) 2 ml cal mag, 2.5 ml silica, 6 ml micro, 9 ml bloom, 1 ml koolbloom, .5 ml floralicious +, 9 ml cannazyme. I mix in that order. PPM is 850. pH is at 5.9. I always feed with the water temperature at 68 F. The flowers are just popping out.

chem d canopy 1.jpgchem d canopy 2.jpgchem d canopy 4.jpgchem d canopy 5.jpgchem d canopy 6.jpgflower 3.jpgflower 4.jpg

The stems and branches are just so thick and strong, I love it!

branches 2.jpgstem 4.jpg

We had an emergency where one of our ballasts failed a while back, luckily we had an extra ballast on hand, but that one failed too! So, as you can see, there is a section missing a light. We will be picking up a new one tomorrow. We put in a new tray of J1 (no light over it, they can handle a little stretch, light will be back on them tomorrow)

new batch 1.jpg

This is the next harvest tray, J1 and a mystery OG cut

far wall 2.jpg

And here is a little more about my setup. I use 3 gallon smart pots

pots 1.jpg

Everything is drain to waste, this is the mix before watering

nutes.jpg

I use this handy watering wand to reach those back plants

watering 2.jpg

It all drains into 5 gallon buckets, which is not wasted but used to water our other species of plants (we have veggies, houseplants, and flowers, I personally love gardenias) :)

drain 2.jpgdrain 3.jpg

I took about 20 Tahoe OG clones today, which will fill this tray up when the Chems are done. I love me some done well tahoe OG, it is definitely in my top 3 favorite buds.

Also, I plan to set up a small DWC for experimenting/having fun with. I did do DWC a few years ago, and the growth rate was incredible. It's just a hassle sometimes, but I had fun with it and the bud the system produced was top notch. Maybe that will be my Sunday project...

That's it for now. Goodnight :weed:

Oh, I just wanted to point out in picture number 8 it looks like a ball sac is popping out, but it's just a stem that was not cut flush.

looks dank sub
Thank buddy, welcome.

Tried to take some lights out pictures today, although the quality is shitty. They are about 2 1/2 weeks into 12/12. lights out 1.jpglights out 2.jpglights out 3.jpg

The new moms are coming along nicely. I took about 20 clones off the tahoe OG for next run, as mentioned before. As you can see, she's a little thin right now. mom n babies 5.jpgmom n babies clones.jpg

I also have a bunch of chems in party cups, really have no place to put them at the moment. I will probably end up giving them away.

Welcome guys/gals, the more the merrier here...

Yesterday I mixed about 20 gallons of real light nutes and clearex and flushed the shit outta the coco, it needed it. Before the flush, I was putting in 850 ppm at 5.9 pH and it was coming out at 1040 ppm and 5.7 pH, after the flush it comes out exactly as what I'm putting in. They definitely enjoyed it. Other than that, I had been running a sunlight supply magnum xxxl reflector alongside a yield master II reflector. I really hate the yield master II because it really concentrates the light beaming straight down on one little section instead of spreading it out nicely, which I guess could be ideal for some situations, but not for me. So I picked up another magnum xxxl to put along side the other one: lights 1.jpg

Other than that, the flowers are really starting to pop out on the chems. I have a good feeling this chem d is going to yield nicely and provide some nice colas, they are at exactly 3 weeks 12/12. chem canopy 1.jpgchem canopy 2.jpgchem canopy 3.jpgchem canopy 4.jpg

The stretch was quite intense on these. For the next round, I will try supplying more N and less P for the first two weeks (contrary to popular belief, high P and low N cause more stretch).

Here are some other goin-ons, my partners mystery og - notice the yellowing leaves and reddish-purple stems, I've tried to give him advice to correct this but he won't take it :?, sometimes having a partner is frustrating... og 1.jpgog 2.jpg

That's all to report for now. Happy new year!

Sweet setup, plants are looking great. Must be an amazing smell in that room! Subbed
Thanks! The smell is overpowering, almost too much. Next investment is going to be another filter.

I'm astounded at the growth of my mothers. Here is a comparison: Two weeks ago exactly photo 2.jpg

And here they are today moms 1.jpgmoms 2.jpg

Good genetics + proper feeding and environment go a long way.

I'll try to get some better pics tonight of the flower room. A little later on I am going to do a side by side with my chem D's with late flower boosters. I will use my regular routine of powdered koolbloom at about week 7 or 8 (on a 10+ week strain) along with something else. Any recommendations? I usually stay away from advanced products, but years ago I used overdrive and had pretty good results. I was thinking about testing that along side the koolbloom. I only use it for 1-2 feedings at about half the recommended dose with the pH bumped up to about 6-6.1 for better P uptake. Other options are shooting powder, MOAB, and cha ching.
