If I used a product that wasn't completely organic(say 5% synthetic) in a brewed tea, would it have a major impact on the microbial life?

Is there a test that checks for microbial life, or would you need a microscope?

My understanding is the mineral salts messes with the critters in the tea. It won't brew right. I use chemical fertilizer and compost tea separate. Simple tea added in between plain water at a rate of every 4-5 weeks.
