my friend and "mentor" says they should be getting at least a gallon of water at a time about every 3 days....
How much to water depends on the size of the container. In 3gal containers I water 1 gal. If you water until there's 10-20% runoff, you should be safe.

Regarding how much AN Sensi to feed, you may need to ask in the Nutrients forum.

It is not about how many mls the plants gets. It is about giving the plants the right amount of water that has the right amount of nutrients in it.

Mix half the rec dose to be safe. easier to give too much than not enough. Then as said, water till you get some runoff. Use nutes every other watering.

GrandDad, question: If you water once then feed once should you not being doing this in one week? I usually water one week and feed the next week but ive been noticing (been awhile since my last grow) feeding schedules for nutrients charts arent in 2 week intervals of the same dosages, each week is different there for you are skipping 4 weeks of interchanging. So mayb I was just dumb and only watering once a week.. its not that i would give them SO much when watering came its just they didnt dry out that fast for me to be able to water and feed in one week. That makes sense to me but causes more attention. There are some people that feed every week without a problem (in soil yes) and some people who even feed twice a week. I am curious about pushing this although I also dont want to clog up my medium. Less is more as you just passed on i agree. There are also people that get the dosages up to 200%, how often they feed is another question though.

I use the same stuff, its about reading your plants but yes start with 50% of the dosage to get a feel for your plants and what they can handle. I fed full dose to 1 week old clones and they sparked right up. And ya i usually water 1/3 of the amount of the container they are growing in. Where as with my mothers it is different, im not on a schedule with them for clones or anything. They are in 18gal rubbermaid tubs and were under a 1000watt (under a 600watt now, moving to a 400watt) I would only water them 4L.. I just gave them 6L next I will give them 8, but the most I will probably get up to is 12L. I like to water once a week, I usually do one week water, next week feed and so on so again it comes down to reading your plants and realizing when they dry out. Once the days become shorter between waterings I just add more water so they still dry out in my scheduled time ie. once a week. Here is a quick reference on a ruff estimate on how much more water they need at what stage.

Yep, this is it.
IMO when it comes to feeding whether it be nutes or just plain water its not so much about any set schedule as it is letting the plant tell you when it needs fed. Because so many factors can affect it, it needs fed when the pots feel light when you lift 'em. Then nutes at generally half the recommended dosage works well, especially when they're young.

It is all about reading your plants and learning your environment. For me, I find whether I am growing in 3 or 5 gal pots watering every third day works. Soyes, they get one straight water and one nuted water per week.

My pots sit on top of some cookie cutters so I get lots of drainage, no time with the plant sitting in water. I also use lots of perlite in my mix.

You do have drain holes in those totes I assume.

For refererence, I have two plants in 5 gal pots, about two weeks into flower. I will water in a few minutes and I know that one gal/plant will be enough to get run off and enough water left to water the clones i cut before flipping to 12-12.
