Doesnt root dmg stress out the plants? Wont moisture meters disturb/break roots? Want to avoid hermies. If not and u recommend them. How do u properly use them? At any angle? How many times around plant do u spot check for moisture? How deep recommend each time?

I've cut rootballs in half, so no unless you're stabbing at your roots like a psychopath. Just put it in the same spot each time. You can also leave some of them in permanently.

I hear these work alright, but I've never tried them:

I've wanted to buy one of these, but I've never gotten around to it:

If I had the money I would buy one of these:

Yea, they seem to work ok for a cheap product. I got one to test about 3- 4 months ago and it's still working.
You can also get refills for them.

I'm intrigued by this. I've sort of got my watering down pretty well without something like this but always interested to see if there's a better way or if I'm going to short/too long, so at 15$ for a pair of medium meters, I'll try it.
