*molasses!!! ARE U CRAZY!!!!!!!!

For the record, I blame only myself. but man do you know how long a plant may be in shock for?

also worst case scenario if I have to cut them down, are buds at the 4th week of flower any good?

but its been 12hours of light since I cleaned out the molassas blob and these gurls didnt even miss a beat!!! that son of a bitch, (my largest plant) grew more inches in just this last light cycle!!!! the bastard will not stop growing!!!!!! and hes the one I lynched last night!!!!


it must be the strain. Be careful not to flower too late when growing Big Bud
strain and they were not kidding when they gave it that name.

my light is touching the cieling my plants are exactly 1 foot off the ground. because of the res.

I have about I would say 5 - 10 inches of grow space left before my plants touch the bulb.


I have just compleated week 4 of flower. should I expect a lot more growth upwords in my last 4 weeks of flower??

Get hygrozime, it will decompose the remaining shit thats screwing with the roots and help build a healthy root system. It's not cheap stuff but I'm surprised more people don't use it, when I was using my old system it saved my babies lives several times when I used additives that went horribly, horribly wrong. It's an enzyme formula, even absorbs into the root system and helps internally. It's worth the cost, from a guy who fucked up more times then you can count with hydro and aero, trust me.

thank you so much man. Had no idea about the stuff just left on my lunch break and bought some. I went home added another air stone and pump to my res to increase oxygen to the roots them I added the hygrozyme when I put it in it look like it bubbleed a lot leading me to believe theres a lot of stuff for this stuff to fix. It seems happy to be in there.


any other advise on this stuff and how to use it.

Ill keep my fingers crossed.

As vidoe man said - they do make nutes for hydro set ups that use molases. In fact if you read the back of Floranectar you see the exact formula. Rather than buying it I went to the store and made my own. It is largely molasses and cane sugar. You have to pay attention to the ratios. 2 teaspoons per gallon is way too much. You have to mix the proper ratio. Flora nectar works fine in a hydro set up with misters. I did it for a while. You just have to make sure you change the water every seven days. And you have to use the ammount reccomended. 2 teaspoons of molases per gallon is like ten times the strength you should have used.

If you go get sweet or any other commercial sweetenter it is the same, but they have mixed it in the proper ratio. If you don't believe me go to your local hydro store and ask them about sweeteners. My local guy is the one who showed me how to make it myself. And I am in Cali so it's not like we don't know what we are doing here.

PS now I grow in an ebb and flow and I like the results waaay more than my DWC days.

Reading this thread convinces me even more that dirt is the way to go!

This is an old thread but molasses is fine in hydro just not aero grows. yes it will make a mess but thats why in dro you only use it at end of flower right before the res empty and flush maybe 2 weeks before harvest
