Molasses during veg?

when can I start to use Molasses? Is it ok to use it on a 2 week old plant in veg stage? Where do you buy it at? like walmart or local grocery store?

Are those plants to young or small?

Make sure to use unsulphered molasses, it should be available at any supermarket. I use Grandmas in flowering.

It will help. The molasses feeds the micro life. The micro life than eat the nutrients and excrete them in a much more usable form. It is a good thing to use.

Molasses is generally used for flowering. I dont see how its gonna help in veg. But whatever. You can get Grandmas @ walmart for two fifty a jar.

I explained it in my post. What do you think molasses does that would make it not help during veg?

It is usless for veg. That guy that said it helps with microbes or whatever will most likely argue but peroxide will do that for a very small percentage of cost. Molasses is to up the glucose intake during flower to plump the buds.

I'm the one who said it helps with micro life and I stand by that statement. I wouldn't use molasses in veg for hydroponics, but I would for soil, and this is clearly a soil based thread considering the OPs pics are in soil.

I am not saying that you are incorrect at all but you can buy 32 oz. of peroxide for 1/3 of what 12 oz. of molasses costs and it does as well if not better at promoting good bacteria and killing the bad.

I've never used peroxide although I have heard good things. I'm not sure if hydrogen peroxide is considered an organic source or not. I know that Tea Trees produce either hydrogen peroxide or something similar. I just prefer molasses though. I get a small bottle for $4 and it lasts me a long time. The only thing I don't like about molasses is the smell. How can something that smells that bad make cookies that taste so good?

I guess seeing that the makeup of peroxide is h2o2 I would say it is about as organic as it comes.

All life is organic in the sense a Carbon hydrogen and oxygen atoms in the molecular structure = organic. but commercial now organic in the terms or growing are NO man made fertilizes, hormones, and pesticides... correct me if im wrong its been a wile. ex. Bananas are very hard to grow organically on a large scale. there is a very deadly fungus that runs rampant. no natural fungicide has been found. so they lable such things as semi organic or what not.
