what does molasses ACTUALLY do. i keep reading bits and pieces of info about it but i haven,t seen a full explanation as to what it does? would syrup do, or just sugared water? could sum1 please explain. and when do u use it? how often and how much?

It provides a quick carb boost for plants. It also mimics function of very important micro-nutes.... I think

Try it... It just plain works.

I just replied to a post about this...haha. If added in small amounts it's been rumored to help the buds in the flowering stage with carbohydrates. I use 1 tsp/gal of it, but then again, I've always used it so I wouldn't really know the difference then would I? It doesn't hurt though, that's for sure.

i just stick a spoon in the stuff and swirl it in a gallon with some nutes

dont heavy feed i think MO helps the uptake of nutes as well..so be careful

from what i've read, it feeds the beneficial bacteria in the soil
feed them, and they break down the soil(and its nutrients) faster
it also has a bit nute content, and a lot of nice trace nutrients
it has a good shot of potassium, bit of calcium, magnesium, iron, and others i can't recall off hand

It is a common additive for soil growers. It promotes microbial growth in your soil. Microbes are what break down the organic nutrients in to their smaller elements the plant can uptake. On top of that, the molasses also brings sugars to the table. This will help in bud growth and natural flavors.

There's a short version.

Oh, never use it in hydroponics.

EDIT: Haha, I was a minute late...

i run lassis every water and feed at a teaspoon per gal in hempybucket . although this is my first hempy i havent seen problems with and am 5 weeks in, 4th day in flower from clone and nearly 2 ft tall :leaf:

when do i use it? in vegging or flowering? thanks for the info so far guys.
You can really use it in either but usually people start it in flower because it's supposed to help add weight to the buds. Some people love it and some hate it. It can attract bugs if you overapply it. :bigjoint:
