Mold or trichomes?

Just Another One

So I noticed this one cola had a super "frosty" spot this morning. I've been waiting for a new mini split and been fighting between high temps or high humidity. My basement flooded too so there's that. I bought a shitload of demudifiers and dried it out that day so I dont feel it did too much damage but now I'm paranoid. So is this just a cluster of nonglandular trichomes or should I fucking torch the whole house and jump off a bridge?

These were the best pics I could get, hopefully they're good enough for some insight

So I cut it and put it under a scope. Its super contained to just that small spot on the bud with no other signs anywhere on that bid at all so hopefully that was it but I'll keep an eye on the rest of the plant. Here are some scope pics after I cut it.

You can't see spores. That mycelium was already fruiting and sporing out. If you can see it .... It's already been infected for at least 2 weeks. The 'mold' you see is the fungus fruiting and shooting millions of spores into the air.
Good luck

This kills and helps prevent pm and bud rot. It will also kill pests and is safe to use all the way to the end.

Watch your rh. Drop it to under 50% I'd say increase airflow but you'll just be shooting those spores around more. And watch your temps don't swing by more than a couple degrees from lights on/off

I've been waiting on an ac to get delivered and the temps have been climbing pretty high so I cut my dehumidifier. I usually keep it 40-45% but with the constant juggling I've been doing of turning lights down and cutting the Dehumidifier its definitely lingered more in the 55-60% range for the last few weeks. And I'm sure the flood didn't help the cause. I guess running the Dehumidifier should take priority over having the lights running high though at this point for now.

I would take the bud apart and see what you got.. It starts at the stem and eats it's way out and can become systemic.. If it's in one bud more than likely it's in others.. Sorry

Yep its def bad at the stem
Unfortunately I've seen that before.. I don't even try to grow big buds because of that crap.. You need to go on a search and destroy mission.. Look at every bud closely, if any bud leaf doesn't look right give it a tug.. If it comes out you found it.. Its usually in the fattest part.. Remove the infected part and hope for the best.. That shit sucks!

I went through a good amount of colas in that area and kinda cracked into them and didn't see anything. There was one other top on that plant that had some tan/orange flecks in one spot once I cracked in that didn't look like mold or like it was harming that plant but I took that one off anyways and figure if it molds up while I dry it then ill throw it out.
