here Greengenes formula from his vid. Remember that this is a boost to your base nute. I’ve put a gram in a gallon of RO water and it went up about 90-100ppm. So if your plants need that much boost, by all means do it. But I hope I’m not the only one who thinks that sounds like a lot, on top of what’s in your base. Grow well and prosper

my base is just soil, goes by roots once what aint sucked is waisted ... greengenes is using jacks feED too NPK 5-12-26.. the epson salts i use once a month or so... what is "most" .... first frost warning tonight, with about 3-4 weeks left

I've been using basically the same thing for years.

I'm not a fan of youtube cannabis video's because most of them are hacks and crappy growers spreading bad information and don't know what they're doing. But I'll give the Greengene guy some props. I didn't bother looking at any videos other than his Jacks Hydro vid and I just skimmed that to see what he had to say.

First, the fact that he's using Jacks and not pushing a dozen bottles of hype is great.

Second, when he said he uses basically the same thing for both grow and bloom I gave him applause. He doesn't cut out the nitrogen like so many do.

Third, out of all the youtube video's related to cannabis growing this guy seems to be the best.

I'm not watching anymore of his video's because there isn't anything he can teach me. But newer growers watching youtube video's to learn the basics should watch this guys and delete any links to that canuck guy and his crispy fried plants.

im a first time grower. but doing really well as of now. got a couple 14 foot going on. but a couple of them keep showing potassium def. so ive been trying to combat that but not having much luck

oh jeez i dont even know. i looked in the grow bibles pictures and read the description and looked a couple other paces and it always just said potassium def. so im not too sure. i was looking for a picture but i dont have one i can put up right now. but the leave is turning yellow and green spots appear then they brown. before eventually the whole leaf turning yellow and burning

No. You can use either of these products to solve your problem.
 
If you use Mkp at 0.20 gram per litre it gives

P - 45 ppm
K - 57 ppm


Most soil veg and hydro veg bases seem to have about 30 to 50 ppm P in them with ratios like 1-1-1, 4-1-3 or 2-1-2 etc. If you are feeding recommended strength on base feed during veg you won't need to use any MKP. If you use the veg formula during stretch time then you can add 0.10gpL MKP for the first 3 weeks of flower. This is under the assumption you are not adding other things that contain P or K. Just veg ratio base feed+calcium/mag/sulf source.

If you have to swap base in flower to lower N then you may not be able to increase or continue using MKP. A high P flower base and/or some additive and you can be pushing 200ppm P when you only need about 90ppm max.

If you continue to use your trusty Veg base during flower (30-50ppm P) you can ramp up to 0.20GPL MKP and back down to 0.10 over weeks 4-7. This will put your P in the range of 70-90ppm for peak flower and keep K in a higher range for the finishing weeks. How you deal with the higher N levels from around week 5/6 depends on what you are using. You could half calmag amount (if using that) and use 3/4 str base feed. Something like that.

This is just to give those using nutrient bottles a bit of a reference point. You need to check what P/K levels you are using in your other products during flower or else you are 90% heading for trouble by adding more with MKP.

is it in bud ?... she will kill off leaves in bud..
just one leaf or a bunch of them

You should find greengene on HOW TO HERM ALL YOUR INDOOR GROWS.... when you type that in google
