Monster trees from clones?

I’ve been doing a lot of reading And planning for this years season of trying to grow monsters. I have my seeds all germinated and my plan is to do a lot of topping. I was asked just the other day to though to try and grow some clones outside as well this year, but I’m not as confident that I’d be able to make monsters out of them. I grew clones last year with LST which worked out fine, but I wasn’t trying to grow large. Are there any techniques I should be looking into to crow clones large? Is it possible to even grow monsters with clones using the topping technique since the nodes aren’t even? Would it consist of a lot of branch bending?

interested to see the responses and even results of outside clone growth.

Yes u can but I believe u should start them indoors veg for 6 months or something then when season comes put outside so its a timing thing as well as good genetics but that's how I would do it I'm doing small plants at the moment while I am growing a few clones for few months to get them big as I can before flipping it's I reckon genetics of course u can grow big trees out of clones it's just a time thing and training etc but yeah outdoor plants no matter if they clones or from seeds will get big if u do whats needed for them to get that big there's videos on YouTube of people getting afew pounds off one clone so yes it's possible
