Agreed. Missoula passed an initiative a few years ago that makes adult marijuana crimes lowest priority for law enforcement and courts. Unfortunately they don't always follow it.

Jury nullification. That is when jurors just will not convict out of principle. Normally the nullification happens AFTER being seated and that pisses judges off. There are only VERY FEW situations that a judge can over rule a jury when they unanimously agree with not guilty. One was judged by a pool of his peers and trying a 2nd trial with a different jury would be double jeopardy.
