I'm buying a tree pre-inoculated with truffles and am going to do my best to mimic proper conditions, probably putting it outside during the early or late winter.

I remembered another trick to find some black morels. If you find an area that had a forest fire or a resent cut, usually you'll find some blacks. I don't know about whites or grays in those areas.
