Morphine-Any Users?

Hi all, I am currently laid up with a prolapsed disc (absolute agony) i take between 150/300 mg morphine sulphate per day.

Was wondering if anyone has had experience of higher doses and its effects.

I have tried grinding the slow release pills and taking them and you get a half decent buzz when washed down with some Oramorph (morphine sulphate solution) and a couple of Phat doobs.

Anyways just asking.

when i had foot surgery they had me on the drip, every 10 minutes i was on that button, i even had the nurse crank it up to 1.75x the normal dose. it was awesome for like 6 hours but then i didnt like the feeling anymore felt too weird and disconnected

Taking morphine orally gives you a very weak buzz b/c of how it is broken down into other substances in your body. If you snort it, you will get a MUCH stroner buzz, but snorting pills is gross and really bad for you. I prefer oxycodone and demerol b/c they work great orally.

Edit: Just found the info on morphine breaking down orally. "90% of the drug is metabolized in the first pass through the liver resulting in a considerable loss of potency when administered orally." - Erowid.org

Sorry about your back buddy,,,I hear ya with the back pain. I have a herniated L3. Anyways,,,,Morphine is not something I would recomend messing around with. I dont want to preach, But trust me when I tell you,,,You dont want to get addicted to the stuff,,,and it is really easy to. I am now taking 120mg of Methadone just so I can function without having to take a bunch of opiates. Just get worried when I see someone heading down the same path I blazed down. Anyways,,,I agree,,Have you gotten itchy from the morph yet?? I have scrached my arms raw. Anyways,,,be careful with how much you take,,,,,It easy to take too much by accident,,,If you are going to take it for fun,,make sure someone knows you have taken it, and they can watched you for the first few hours....

I am actually trying to wean myself off the shit now as am having an epidural in the spine to take it all away hopefullly, please let it be, takecare and all the best to you with you med problems.
