I purchased some fox farms Cha Ching today as the LSD have started showing signs of a deficiency, caused by a lack of Potassium. Cha Ching has 50% potassium so hopefully it should do the trick! I wanted to get some of the tiger bloom but they had ran out!

Hey man - what did you notice that was a potassium deficiency? I've usually avoided adding any nutrients that far into flower as it's that much more of a challenge to flush it out in the end, especially if you're growing in soil...I'm interested to see if it makes a difference for you.

Those colas are looking real nice though - the calyx-to-leaf ratio may be a bit high but underneath that there's some nice solid bud i'm sure!

Ah - I see you're only 30 days in - since you're still about half way done I guess you still have some time to adjust things with the 'K' deficiency..

hey dayzt, thanks for stopping by. Yea its a bit late in flower to be adding these nutes, however im afraid the LSD were so deficient that it caused them to stretch like a bitch, and also delayed flowering, they look at least two weeks behind everything else! also im thinkin lsd is going to be a 10/11 week strain this time around, so they're not even half way!

about the calyx-leaf ratio, i have really been noticing swelling calyx's recently, im not too worried, they get harder and more dense all the time. Also i removed some leaves the other day in the middle of the plants to let the light get right down into the plants.
 
How are your deficiencies going? i think i got pot def in my PC's and on an opposite end of the scale my LSD's are purple with a ?phosphorous def- maybe from cold? Bought some organic PK booster from B.A.C so im hoping that will end my probs.

my deficiencies are getting better i think, added cha ching yest and they deinately liked it, some of the leaves are just too far gone though, basically all yellow with little brown serrated edges. The cha ching i realised isn't 50% potassium, it's npk is 9.50.10, so it has 10% potassium. I've gotta be careful with this stuff though, ive never seen such a high value of nutrients in any other fertilizer.

Good luck with your def, purpling is cool but only if it doesn't ruin your crop!

I'm a few days ahead of you and I don't have nearly the amount of "frosting"on my leaves. I'm envious of your pics.....maybe my White Widow will surprise me one morning when I check them....

yea its weird how deficiencies hit some strains more than others, i have the same thing where only the LSD were mainly affected, in fact the WW and Kush varieties i have didn't show the potassium def at all!

i hope yours get frosty too!

the white widow were frosty really early on, and one of my taller kush plants still isn't very frosty, probably not even half the ww frostiness!
