So I've got plants in dirt and plants in a cheap hydro system, my plants in my hydro are doing fine but as of today ALL of my soil plants have a thick green moss covering the top of the soil. Is this something you should worry about?
It's stretching, indicating it wants more light.
Do you have drainage holes in the cup and a fan moving air?
Moss only grows when there is correct temp, darkness for enough hours, and excess moisture.
That soil looks like it's almost mud.
That was after I watered it this morning it was bone dry after not watering it for 4 days. I have a fan and a 600 watt MH 27'' away from the plants because they're in a 60 degree basement so I figure they can use the little extra warmth. I just started putting nutrients in the water 50 PPM Micro and Grow solution as per the solution instructions.
