mother plant spitting out 1 /3 and 7 leafs

I have a mommy. plant. its 5 feet tall. it is starting to poop out 1 three and 7 leaves. on the middle to lower portion .. the top of the plant has 5 fingers as should. the newer growth is great. only have this in the lower. I have had the same plant for 2 years. been using this plant with excellent potent buds. strong thc. same every thing. soil nutrients lighting... temp . co2. fresh air. best of every thing my plants are spoiled more then my wife . shhhhhhh . I have spent time on the net trying to figure the issue out. only thing I can think of its tired of me cutting clones off of it. its from seed. I usually only cut 6 large branches off of it once and give it a few weeks before I go back to trim again. I changed the soil 2 months ago its in a 25 gallon pot. I have not been looking at them until I noticed few plants in flower shooting 1 finger leafs. the light cycle never changes in veg 24/7 I did not 18 hours in the summer hot months . I bet its tired of me cutting it up ? what are you opinions guys that use a mommy. ? I need to save her thc tests out 18 % ! average. 1 hit your gone, lol

Take a clipping and make a new momma, then flower her.

I know I can take a great clipping off her and go from that. only problem is it will be 1 plant away will lose some potency. im thinking of trimming the bottom growth like you would in flower. keep it pruned better its very bushy out of control. and take my clones from the tops only. 5 finger leafs . ill cut all the bull shit off. hope it looks better. if not ill be shopping for new genetics

My sympathies to you, I have had the same situation about 8 years ago, I quickly pollinated a lower branch in an attempt to keep her, but eventually age took her, my mother was 4 1/2 years old, so I though I did good considering many say you shouldn't keep a mother past 2 or 3 years
