Mother Plants

During the veg state, do mother plants produce strong odors? Or is it just during flowering that strong odors are produced?

I'm hoping I can get away without having to filter my veg room exhaust.

When my moms get rustled around I can smell them. Other than that,.....not really, just flowering.

Smell will increase during flowering; anywhere from very little to very drastically, depending on the strain. Most plants don't produce alot of smell during veg but without any odor control or exhausting air outside, even a couple medium-sized mothers can make a noticeable smell in an enclosed area.

I will vent my veg grow room very well, so it sounds like I can get by without a filter.
