Mothers and cuttings

Hi my Peeps..
When i poped a bean ,On average how long mother should be veg from seed for, before I can take cuttings to clone it ? Do I go by time/ days or hight of a plant or number of nodes ? ...
Any input appreciated tnx .

As soon as you can take healty cuttings , i like to have cuttings big enough to have the cut on a node as they tend to root better

There's no hard and fast rules, but you probably want to wait until you can take cuttings that are 3-4 inches long, with 3-4 leaf nodes on them (assuming you remove the bottom leaf or two from the cutting when you put it in the rooting medium). One common practice is to use the tops as clones when topping young plants.

I think when you are new there are certain restrictions until you get your 50 comments out of the way you are currently at 13
