Mountain top SPRING H20 ???

Led to believe to use DISTILLED
but...learning here that the neg. ions etc.
So...
Can I use my fabulous mountain top
SPRING water?

Bottled "spring" water can have an excessive amount of minerals. Any water you use...you should know it's ppm or relative amount of dissolved solids. Most nute manufacturers sell hard water micro component. So really it's just a matter of matching your nutrients to the water and media.

IMO a ppm of 250 or below should be ok. Water labeled "drinking water" is usually RO water so would be low in dissolved solids. And is this soil or hydro?

You talking about non-bottled spring water? Get a free test kit from home depot. Or pump it through an RO filter.

Thank you both - I will continue with distilled + nutes
until I test our mountain top spring for ppm's.

One way to reduce the disolved solids of tap water or mineral water is to mix it with distilled or RO. Say you have ppm 400 of tapwater...way too high. But if you diluted it 50/50 with distilled...then it should be close to 200 which should be acceptable. Saves some money too. I've used this technique.
