Moving to MIchigan

So i was looking online and i found some VERY nice houses in Flint area for like 20k....

I KNOW that area is in HUGE economic decline.... but is it worth it to move there and buy a house if you are sharing a house with 2 other Iraq/Afgan Vets and a SHIT TONS of LEGAL guns.
Or is it just tnot saf for white people to live in that area growing herb????

The prices seem to good to be true....just curious on what you all think^^

Yea, not everywhere is bad. There are some outskirt area's like the one my sister lives in that are just fine. There more like farming area's with not so many houses like Owasso

But what about the area that have the 30k houses?? Are they just Crazy with crime??? like the wild west??? I also read that they aren't very white person friendly..... I am a SUPER nice guy and dont mind living in a poorer neighborhood, just dont want to CONSTANly be robbed and have to worry about my wife getting raped.

I know there is a reason these houses are so cheap......

Get big dog.. Drive area at night first. Anyplace must be safer than most of Detroit. jackson and lansing all the same shit, just depends on hood block(s) and if you can be there almost all the time, then no prob. dog is plus poss essential.

The price drop isn't all about crime. Mostly the area is jobless and a huge forecloseure spot meaning nobody lives there so who is doing the crime? All good ideas above. P.S. if you read "not white person friendly" you're reading from a subversive racist.

ya the guy that told me that a racist... just seeing if its true at all haha. I am going to be going to school and am retired military so i have some regular income.... just want to live a good life in a nice home an d grow and be left alone^^

If it was me, I'd collect about 10 to 20 listings I liked and do a drive by on them then go get a showing of the best 5 or 10 and go from there. Realtors can bullshit with the best of them but for the most part, there is no lying about a shitty neighborhood. I'd prolly be more concerned with how close is a supermarket that isn't boarded up and how far do I got to drive for the things you need. Gas is the killer, not the colored people LOL good luck and happy hunting you don't need much anymore to get quite a bit but it is turning around slowly.

What are some good towns to start looking at???? MMJ friendly and low home prices? Thanx for all the replies thus far guys<3<3<3

alot-

of the homes are in the beecher district.

unless you are are a recon marine from flint, id stay away. most flintstones just know another. outsiders get hurt all the time. also other dummy flinstoners.

burton is a good way to go. mostly rednecks. the are a peculiar bunch in many ways, but sociable enough if you are familiar with the redneck culture. (in the city?)

flint township's not bad, nor grand blanc. hip hop, fad ridden business districts. they have their fair share of crime(it spills over) but is mostly punk zone. lotsa chicks(flint chicks LOVE punks). doubtful the houses you are looking at are in this district.

east side is known as low rent area, not quite as skid row as north side(beecher) although the north part of it is essentially been assimilated. . lots of crime, gangs, and poverty.

overall, not many oppurtunities. there are MANY growers. all the tradesmen drive to the detroit area to work. crime is rampant.

if you were smart you would move to the UP. ya?

You can get a nice place in saginaw for $8-20k, depending on what needs to be done, if your in the right area it's not bad, and it's actually pretty nice, but just being a few miles can make a big difference.

Warren, HazelPark, Mt.Clemons... The biggest thing no matter where you go is to make sure no one knows your growing. Plan waaaaaay ahead!

Holy shit...... I could get into some of that action!!!!

So i guess jobs in th eUP would be WAY harder to find than in the cities than ?? Even like low level "Joe"jobs? Im a "ok" grower for how new i am...... would i NEVER make it as a caregiver?

ANd is crime less in the UP??? I am LOVING that Sawyer AFB is there (im former Af) so i could prolly get a civi Base job......... Shit i might be moving to Michigan! Gonna be hunting and fishing like a mofo!

You can get 30k houses in "nice" Metro-Detroit cities that aren't riddled with crime. I would avoid flint and look into Southfield, Redford, Westland, Wayne and Garden City.
