Moving to Portland, OR

Hey everyone,

I'm moving to Portland in March and for the first time I will be in a medical marijuana state. I'm trying to figure out if it's going to be possible for me to obtain a medical card. I suffer from severe migraines and also suffer from anxiety, both of which are greatly helped by marijuana but I don't currently take medication for either, mostly because I do not trust pharmacuticals. Is there anything I can do to prepare myself to be eligible or do I just walk into a doctor's office and hope for the best? Also, can anyone recommend a good doctor in the area?

Also, do I need to be a resident of the state before I can even receive a card? Meaning, while I be required to have a year of residency before they will consider me?

It isnt really all that hard to get a card here. Its not as easy as Cali but you can get one. Start here it will answer alot of your questions. If you have any more ?'s let me know. Yes you need to be a resident of oregon to be eligible but no you dont need to be a resident for over a year.
