I don't think there is any doubt now that this AK is a female; considering there are bud sites appearing everywhere. I'm beginning work on a proper grow cab since I'm not too pleased with this entire room being monopolized by this single plant. Things are going well, but the plant is thinning out a bit as it grows taller. It has now quadrupled in size since flowering was started.

I added to 42w CFLs just for some more coverage to brign the total wattage in lights to 240w. I've been battling with heat issues but as long as the temps outside are nice I am bringing in fresh air from the window.

Thanks man. That means a lot coming from the CFL jesus! I would have hurt someone if I put this much time and energy into this plant for it to turn out to be a dude or a tranny! :bigjoint:

Growth continues at a healthy rate. The bud sites are starting to fill out nicely. Vertical growth is still happening but it has finally started to slow down. The plant is over 2 feet tall now and I'm concerned that it's not getting enough light (even with 240w)! I had a real close call a few days ago with a repairman at the house so I have installed a key lock door handle to the grow room.

Got my paws on a handful of Afghani Kush seeds from a friend over the weekend and those are going outside at a guerrilla spot I found a few weeks ago.

Thanks man; I'm starting to get impatient like a motherfucker! I got about 4 weeks to go and I promised myself I wouldn't support the underground drug scene by buying off the streets anymore so I have to wait it out!

TY, brah! I really do appreciate it. Ya seem to be doin gr8! Gonna put up pics in a few hours, my plants are all doin good, fer the most part. No major issues, and I tend to thank the knowledge that I have gained on this site (as well as countless other resources), fer this start of a potentially gr8 grow!

Great suggestion! I'm gonna play around with the lights as you suggest. The buds are still puny. I'm hoping they start to fill out soon.

I relocated the side lighting into the canopy to give the main cola light all around. The buds are starting to fill out a little bit. Great weather this week! Looking forward to keeping the window open in the grow room.

I've been hunting down stealth outdoor grow spots for the summer grow. I can't wait for this AK47 to finish so I can get the summer crop started under these CFLs.

I cut off the big fan leaves on the cola so I could get my lights right up against the bud.

I'm getting a little nervous at this point. The buds are still puny and while the gaps are shrinking between the nodes on the main cola, there are still gaps. I was hoping to harvest around day 65, but today is Day 51 so that means there needs to be a LOT of bud growth in the next 14 days. It's hard to judge now but just looking at it I'd say this plant would be lucky to produce a quarter ounce of dried bud if I harvested it today. Hopefully these last 2 weeks will create nice some growth. This strain is said to be able to grow 2 lbs of bud outdoors so if it doesn't produce at least an ounce indoors the I'll consider the grow an overall failure.

Well said. It ain't over till the fat lady sings so I'll just have to wait and see where she is in a few weeks. Hell, she may triple in bud size these next 2 weeks.

Ok, so this week showed some great progress! I moved the 2 42w lights from the top and relocated them to the sides of the main cola. None of my lights have reflectors and I felt like I was wasting a lot of the 42w light intensity.

Can't be certain if that was the reason or not but, the plant's main cola has really fattened up and I just noticed that several of the smaller flowers are getting really dense also. This is very unexpected change! I've got about 10 days left to go! All the hairs are still white, though I can see where some are beginning to turn brown. There hasn't been any vertical growth at all in the last week so it appears the plant is dedicating all its remaining energy into bud production.

I trimmed the leaves that were burnt and spotted yellow (I'm sure the MG is about out of nutes but no worries this late in the game).

Wahoo! HOME STRETCH!
