MTV Martial Law Commercial. Something to think about...

Ask that to the American Japanese citizens who are still around from being present shortly after the Pearl Harbor attack...as they were being rounded up and put into detention camps.
It is a proven fact that the government has rounded up and detained it's own citizens before. You can't deny that fact.
They did it once, so it is possible they can do it again.
And it is possible i could shit gold too.......

I think its complete lunacy that its strictly blamed in the first video on gun grabbing democrats. That's not the correct title here. If your buying into the theory of martial warfare and random FEMA camps popping up and turning into death camps it's not the democrats your worried about. The argument against illegal collection of guns is 100% legit. I think its kind of counter productive to only buy into the argument half way and blame it on a political party and not the Illuminati or what not. I although think there is a severe disconnect in federal and local government. Our country was based on fundamentals that supported a very heavy local government because it was not possible for the federal government to communicate or even travel to different parts of our growing country. The founding fathers found out from the whole independence thing you know? As technology advanced and the economy skyrocketed there was a need for normalcy of some sort set by the Federal Gov. As interstate business grew and then took a turn for the worse in the depression it was the war that got us out and help create a bigger federal government. The needs in society changed though and the general guidelines surrounding the constitutional status of the Feds actions and agencies becomes hazy because the government has now become to large and has created a bubble of politicians. There is no check on that little world of theirs because when some home grown politician voted in for the first time in her local jurisdiction on a soap box of change gets to DC or the local capitol and no one is going to let them change the rules. So that disconnect causes a lot of issues because who knows what a politician actually knows about what they sign off on when their told the whole story or oh hey there is all this crime down in Katrina affected areas so we want to curb that. My point is he/she is not going to local deputy boys personally to say go take care of this problem where their would be some sort of direct accountability. The country needs more emphasis on state and local issues that affect peoples rights directly. The chain to the top for communications within a setting of oh hey your arrested and you pretty curious about your rights being violated those police wouldnt even think about talking to anyone in regards to yourinquriy.

tsdr version No direct accountability shitty decisions that violate rights. Cant please everyone when your trying to save everyone. Doesn't it go tough titty said the kitty? Those police can sure come to those citizens doors but those citizens have no direct access to their politicians.

meh if someone disagrees... ok

Martial Law is a scary thought though cause you cant hide inside of a cocoon of the Bill Of Rights when they storm in and do what THEY want because you will be outnumbered and you will be out armed. Im pretty sure they can figure out how to literally divide and conquer the population. You dont just swallow a whole damn cookie you might choke and die. If you take it bite by bite though its tasty and rewarding.

The amount of guns contained within the country in the first place wouldn't be enough to stop a all out martial warfare. Do you think any of those people in that video could really completely fend off the "man". It would be like Red Dawn with the remaining rogue citizens but everyone still dies. They can go live in the middle of nowhere and hope to never be seen again by representatives of martial law but they wont have any power.

Dirty Harry is also 100% correct that did happen.

I have a big problem with those videos, they would be more believeable if they weren't so obviously anti "democrat". Where are the law suits? You can be DAMN SURE that if any weapon of mine (I am a Dem by the way) were confiscated there would be a suit filed the moment my house was dry. I also believe that this was a special situation (not one I approve of) where there was a natural disaster. This is not what we are talking about necessarily but an order of martial law across the entire country. No, I doubt we will see direct reports. I think the fundamental question is why would there be martial law declared and how would it be declared. I don't believe the people of the United States would stand for it and I believe they would refuse. Furthermore I believe that national guard troops may well refuse to enforce such orders.
Ahh the national guard, AKA "the BB gun Brigade". What makes them dangerous is the fact that they have real guns, but mostly shit for leaders. Most civilian militia groups are tougher than the guard. Most Guard kids are there for college assistance and have no desire to see any kind of combat. So, I agree with your assertion, the NG won't agree to do it.

Don't diss the national guard. I was national guard, federal Army reserve Army, and active Army & Air force. I entered basic training as a National Guard and I went through the exact same boot camp and AIT training along side the active troops. There was no difference other than during chow time. They made sure the guard ate last.

Leaders are leaders no matter being guard, reserve, or active. They either are good or they suck. It happens.
Most of the dead coming home are activated reserve or guard members that where federally activated into the active duty service.
Their blood and service has no less value than the full time active services... In fact they are helping the active service to have the manning to survive themselves.

Guard people want a college education, while the active want a retirement. What is the difference in that when both are willing to die for it?

Former Marine Corps Corporal, Former platoon Leader 2nd Lieutenant National Guard combat engineers. There are very few Guard members who are willing to die for some tuition help from the guard. I quit the Guard because the Leadership sucked donkey dicks. in real combat they all would have been killed.

Comparing anyone other than an Marine to a Marine is a loosing prospect.
I guess I was lucky to serve with a better class of people. I respect your observation though.

The poster said they were all gone, I differ and ask which ones are.
Sorry for the delay, I got sidetracked.

The Patriot act and now the new NDAA violate The Fourth Amendment (Amendment IV) to the United States Constitution is the part of the Bill of Rights which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures, along with requiring any warrant to be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause.

They also violate the 10th amendment...The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) to the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791.[SUP][1][/SUP] The Tenth Amendment states the Constitution's principle of federalism by providing that powers not granted to the federal government nor prohibited to the states by the Constitution are reserved, respectively, to the states or the people.

While I will grant you that we may have a diminished (and the jury, so to speak, is still out on this) access to habeous corpus under the Patriot act, and we might have less right to a speedy trial, these are special circumstances and are highly unlikely to affect me. Short of this particular situation (my being labeled a terrorist by the President of the United States), I still have my full complement of rights under the Constituion as ruled by the Supreme Court. Your 10th amendment descriptions are arguable at best.

Harry? May I ask where you were when Bush detained two U.S. citizens?

The NDAA obliterates all the Amendments actually. When the executive can do anything they want to anyone in the country, that's a lawless country where you have no rights. That's the harsh reality.

i would go out fighting for my fuckin rights. fuck being sheep. i would die defending my house and my families belongings and rights before i just up and abandoned everything for looters to go thru. i would lose everything. plus can u imagine the people that dont have insurance. everything in the house that they own or rent is their livelihood, it is them. and its their rights to be able to stay and defend their belongings.
