Clapper Suggests Mueller Just a Figurehead Who Was Not Involved in Writing ‘His’ Report (VIDEO)
by Cristina Laila July 25, 2019 283 Comments

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper suggested during a Thursday appearance on CNN that Mueller was just a figurehead who was not involved in writing ‘his’ report.

Clapper, who was heavily involved in the attempted coup against President Trump and one of the originators of the Russia hoax, said Mueller’s role was more like a “CEO.”

“I think his role as a special prosecutor was a lot more like a CEO where he oversaw the operations but did not engage in interrogating witnesses or actually writing the report.”

If Mueller didn’t write the report, that means the work was left to the anti-Trump zealots that filled Mueller’s team.

Nearly every single prosecutor on Mueller’s team was a Hillary/Obama donor.

Mueller’s lead prosecutor Andrew Weissmann was at Hillary Clinton’s election night funeral and praised former acting AG Sally Yates for refusing to enforce Trump’s presidential order on a travel ban.

Mueller’s other top deputy, Aaron Zebley represented the IT aide who not only set up Hillary Clinton’s private server but also smashed her Blackberrys (under subpoena) with a hammer.

Zebley sat next to Robert Mueller on Wednesday to ‘advise’ the former special counsel. Zebley was well-versed on the 448-page report so he helped Mueller navigate through and answer questions.

Mueller showed Wednesday during the hearing that he had no idea what was in his own report.

Jim Jordan caught Mueller off guard when he brought up Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos and the fake Russian agent Joseph Mifsud — Jordan had to school Mueller on his own report!

At one point Mueller said he was ‘not familiar’ with Fusion GPS, the oppo research firm that Hillary Clinton’s law firm paid to obtain the phony dossier from Christopher Steele.

How is this even possible?

The highly respected conservative columnist Byron York said Mueller’s lack of knowledge about his own report raises questions about the handling of the investigation.

“Mueller’s performance raised questions that reached far beyond one appearance before one committee. It called into doubt the degree to which Mueller was in charge of the entire special counsel investigation,” Byron York wrote.

The Deep State coup cabal knew they had to choose Mueller as their figurehead because he could be passed off as ‘neutral and well-respected’ — so who better than a Republican and former FBI Director who served in Vietnam?

The “Weissmann investigation” or the “Zebley Investigation” just doesn’t have the same ring to it as the “Mueller investigation.”

Trump tower Moscow? Because there was a signed doc on it as a letter of intent, or do you mean the Trump tower meeting with Jared, Don Jr, Manafort ,and the supposed crown prosecutor of Russia along with the other couple people. That happened too, Don Jrs emails are in evidence in a lot of places.

And I don't know if you have ever been part of a team, but from time to time a lot of people will come together to do a very difficult task. Sometimes the person in charge will delegate responsibilities, and put their name on the work they do. It doesn't change shit, try again.

There doesn't exist a Trump Tower Moscow, so there was no leverage or pay-for-play. You don't seem very bright.

But - and it's a big but... as Daily Caller's Chuck Ross notes, before Democrats could celebrate too much, Mueller corrected his testimony when he appeared hours later before the House Intelligence Committee for a second round of testimony about his Russia investigation...

“Now before we go to questions, I want to add one correction to my testimony this morning,” Mueller began in his opening remarks.

“I want to go back to one thing that was said this morning by Mr. Lieu, who said, and I quote, ‘you didn’t charge the president because of the OLC opinion.'”

“That is not the correct way to say it,” he said, adding, “as we say in the report, and as I said in the opening, we did not reach a determination as to whether the president committed a crime.”

Crushing the dreams of every leftist.

But - and here's the leap towards the irrational and mentally ill - Lieu suggested to CNN's Wolf Blitzer during an interview later in the day that “somebody got to” Robert Mueller to force the former special counsel to correct his testimony. “[Y]ou say Mueller fully understood your question. Doesn’t Mueller’s correction, which he later provided, prove otherwise?” Blitzer asked.

“This is what’s so odd about that exchange. Special counsel Robert Mueller agreed that the OLC opinion prevented a sitting president from being indicted, and then the Republican member after me asked him a series of questions to try to get him to walk it back, and he did not do that.”

“And then it wasn’t until there was a recess with the Intel committee that he started to walk some of it back,” said Lieu.

I don’t know who got to him. I don’t know who talked to him, but that was very odd, what he did.”

Blitzer asked Lieu, “What are you suggesting? ... Are you saying he only did that because of pressure from someone?”

“I don’t know,” said Lieu, “but he clearly answered the way he answered to me, and then he had numerous times to walk that back by the next Republican member who asked him a series of questions on the exact same issue trying to get him to walk it back.”

So you’re citing as an authority Robert mueller, who said trump is compromised, a non stop liar, and can be charged with 19 felonies once he’s voted out

When Robert Mueller was actually held to those statements under oath, he admitted they weren't true and completely backed down. So good luck with those "we will arrest tRUmpft after he is out of office!" plans.

“That is not the correct way to say it,” he said, adding, “as we say in the report, and as I said in the opening, we did not reach a determination as to whether the president committed a crime.”

None of that contradicts mueller stating under oath that trump is compromised, a liar, and facing 10 felony obstruction charges once he’s out of office

My god, the law of averages implies that you would eventually accidentally say something correct or intelligent. But you just never do. I wish there were some way to benefit from this, but I am pretty sure you can't

If you ever worked in sales you will know what getting the customers name on the dotted line means, couldn't imagine the adrenaline rush they got after signing a deal bigger than any they had ever done with Moscow. Trump was compromised as soon as he said he had no deals with Russia and lied to the American public about it.

And your statement about Muellers testimony is wrong too.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mueller-corrected-statement-did-mueller-change-his-statement-that-trump-could-be-indicted-after-leaving-office/

The President committed a crime and Mueller stated very clearly he will be able to charge him once he leaves office. The president is lying. Trump knows he can flat out lie to the press, and therefore to the American people, and it is not illegal. And his army of internet trolls can toss up so much smoke that hopefully his lies stick.

Its a direct quote, its not my statement. How can a direct quote from someone be "wrong" in regards to their stance ?

You can find it here.

Good luck in 2024 with that. Mueller clearly stated in his actual report that "he couldn't clear the president of obstruction," which means not guilty with presumption of innocence that we have in America.

Yeah, this is why Trump is so desperate to win in 2020. Statute of Limitations.

You weak ass punk Republicans line will then change from "you can't prosecute a sitting president, so he's innocent" to "because of the statute of limitations Trump can't be prosecuted so he's innocent".

Way to drain that swamp, boys.

I find it funny how "Since he broke the law and became president, he is innocent because he can't be charged while president", has turned into Trump being innocent.

Seeing a pattern yet?

Anything yet?

Nothing?
