Multiple leaf issues and some mushrooms growing!!

Hello thanks for reading,

A quick summary of set:I have MG soil organic mix veging under florecent 300 watt t5 setup, temp os 73 at nights 78 under light, water as needed but the soil seems to be staying moist longer, humidity at 65% rh.

Issues: As you can see from the pics below there are multiple problems, i had some plants going under same setup before and have not changed many factors.. I will details my concerns below in list format.

1. Purple edging on the tips of the fan leaves. have not seen this before and is occuring on more than one. also so different looking purple spotting on one picture looks similar but not identical... any ideas?

2. Leaf decay on lower leave pic 3. Not much new decay on new leafs but still a concern as strange decay rather than stress withering.

3. Mushrooms are here! Not sure how the spores got in but i understand they can sometimes be beneficial.. any opinions? I like how the mycrozoa or however that is spelled can breakdown some of the soil matter so a more uptakeable form for the plants with little chance of nute burn. So im for them for the time even though they die almsot as fast as they sprout.

4. This may be the bigest concern (duno y it isnt #1) but the last two pics show a white substance on the leaves particular only to this one plant. almost looks like white specs of eggs or something, they arent whiping off although i havent tried that hard phisically or whith a liquid substance. i need help diagnosing this before i decide to pull it.

The white spots on the leaves in pictures 7 and 8 look identical to the white spots that I have on a few of the bottom leaves of one of my indoor plants. I don't know what it is but I'm extremely interested to find out.

were your plants originally outdoors? or did they begin indoors? did you pull it or has it spead to any other plants? a pic would be sweet to compare

can you not tell your plant is eating away at itself?
feed with an all purpose fertilizer.
That would explain a lot of my suspicions about how it has been growing.. i didnt think it being in miracle grow feed soil would need nutes this fast. i just feed my larger one about twice her size for the first time. i will give them a small feed when the soil finally dries. Thanks

plants absorb nutrients at different rates, they may deplete some nutes and still have sufficient amount of the others.
so basicly this would be in the deficiency category, i know ppl dont want black burning chron and they also are scared to feed to much,
i have grown to be more comfortable in feeding a stronger strength nute and then watering if need be, so ill check back every six hours and if i notice tips burning i will water and check back.

hmm, okay. I bought some Scotts (same company as miracle grow) Soil earlier this year, it had the same mushrooms in it, its not mycorrhizae...thats fungus spores making mushrooms from the soil not being treated properly if at all. Second i think you are over watering, or not letting the soil dry out enough, this can cause the slow release fertilizer in the MG soil to seep out more then needed = nute burn. Just my 2 cents.

Hey man,

i agree with you for sure, i think i overwatered them once transplanted. you couldnt be more in line with the issues as the ones yet to transplant do not show these terrible signs. looks like the slow girls are about to turn into the main ladies! what a swing... thanks for the info + rep will keep that in mine moving further.

lol, well if u have spores in your soil i have no idea, i would think as long as they don't interfere with you root system they should do any harm.

you should look up how much nutes these mushrooms need, and potentially they are sapping out some nutes from your soil as well..... they don't look to big but i would remove them so they don't spread more spores out...

don't get overloaded with information, bro. Get your plants re-potted, and start feeding with advanced nutrients three-parter. The Mushrooms typically wont grow with chemicals in the soil. Could be you just got a sporey batch of soil.

Tainted soil... lol, damn.
Are there any other cases of this on the forum?
