I have been pulling most the bad leaves but they keep popping up. Its on the oldest growth and new growth.....Any ideas on whats going on would be great....I have never trimmed the roots I possibly think she getting root bound...thanks..i'm headed out can't get picks uploaded will soon though...anything helps

1 1/2 years in the same pot? No upcan or root trim??

There's your problem, past rootbound. Trim the roots, or a serious upcan. I would go with the root trim and stay in the same size pot.

Might also be time to start a clone for a new mom. I replace mine every year, year and 1/2.

When she really starts getting gnarly with age.

I already have cloned a new mom but I am going to keep the old one alive to try and flower her? I'm still a month or two out before I do though? or even should I?

this is a pic of mag def
1 tsp/gal water, epsom salts. Or buy Cal/mag
it will mostly clear up if you treat it.
if it doesn't look like this then disregard..lol

Definitely root prune and keep the same size pot. You can let you mothers live healthy for many more years but even if you have a bonsai you generally want to root prune every 1/2 a year or so.

looks rootbound, I have one in a 3/4 gallon pot and its top few leaves are sick and dying like that. I say transplant it, take new clones to replace it, and give the clones time to root then flower that lady (after topping off the dying parts).

Of course you flower out the old moms. But when that time comes, I transplant to a 5gal container and kick their butt into gear a couple, 3 weeks before the 12/12. Loads of tops!

Is there a pictoral on root trimming here somewhere? Have you ever done it? It's easy, but sounds scary to most people. LOL, I was showing a newb grower how to and using a K-Bar to cut. I thought he was going to faint. It was really funny. I think he wanted to sing Kum Ba Ya to it or something similar.

For the .stretchies', you do need to prune/trim/haircut every few weeks to keep it right.

Shes had enough bro , shes too old for more 'babies' . You should have cloned her before now for a fresh mum, as the new clone could end up a bit scraggy old and fucked, just like mum.
