Munchies.Ways to deal and avoid overeating?

I used to do the same thing, really just need better self control honestly. if you absolutely have to, eat a ton of vegetables because theyre generally low in calories.

also when binge eating like with the munchies often if you stop eating for 15 minutes after a bit of food you will realize you aren't hungry instead of when the whole bag of doritos is gone and you're laying there in a pile of crumbs and shame lmfao

The best advice I have got is don't start eating.. just tell yourself your not going to eat ,drink a glass of water and fight it like your quitting cigs. Once you eat one thing though.. fuggedaboutit

Rice cakes flavored or unflavored. You can chew have something in your mouth get full and not gain weight. Oh there cheap also or at least the last time I picked some up.

Yeah I got to improve my self control ultimately. That is another thing I have always been a fast eater even when I am sober so I gotta just consciously slow it down and eat clean.

glass of water works well...nuts are good bedside but may be too high in fat for some.
Speaking of bedside, I noticed that if I go to bed watching tv I'm more prone to waking..that's when I realize I'm hungry. Recently, I stopped watching to fall asleep..either turn it off when I get sleepy or not watch at all..this way I'm not disturbed by anything and sleep through the night..no munchies. It's been working well.

I have tried apples, oatmeal, and green tea. They def do suppress the appetite intially but after another hit or two, I get hunger urges of a starving man. I think either munchies effects me more than most or I have really weak self-control (which isn't a issue when I am not high).

So I tried to avoid eating last night but I ended up cooking some eggs and eating 4 slices of bread which is terrible for my macro nutrition for the day. Its soo frustrating...

I may have to resort to doing this until I break the habit:

try a protein shake mixed with milk and bananas. ....theres literally no way you can feel hungry after those LOL

I have done plain whey protein with milk and casein protein with milk but never mixed them with fruit. I am going to grab some bananas and give that a try. Maybe like a 1 scoop protein, half banana, half milk/water...Imma sip it and resist the urge of my delicious choco whey protein.

it has to be the right protein powder though not all them are good

Are you smoking primarily one or two varieties? Or many?

I find certain plants of mine really make me hungy... some actually make me not hungry. I avoid smoking heavily on those munchy strains... G13 will send me to a bag of Doritos. Green Crack kills my appetite, quickly.

I always have chicken breast and vegetables in the crock pot cooking. I eat alot of heavily peppered beef jerky and drink alot of ice water. When i feel like i am going to splurge and am at home i chug a protein/creatine scoop and do pushups til exaustion, that helps keep me focused.
For sweet tooths i eat fiber one cereal.

I am about a monthaway before i begin bulking then i enjoy the munchies more.
