The safest way to go is to harvest amanita muscaria, because its easy to spot it
be adviced though that mushrroms actually poison you and that's what gives you hallucinations. Its like a bad fever. It doesn't feel good.
eating some cactus is a lot safer, but just as disgusting

. There's so many around here they are worthless. We get them every year. Late summer early fall. The tropical weather brings the spores over. I live 5min away from "HighTimes" most potent shroom field.. They only grow in the cow pastures. i must of ran over 2000 caps with the mower last week.
If you do find them, flick the tops before you pick them. It will knock lose more spores and they will sprout up the next day.. Their life cycle is very short. They grow over night and die the next day mostly. best time to pick is in the morning right when the sun is coming up. gl & its easy to spot death caps. They look nothing like shrooms.
Butter nipples. Mostly whiteish with orangeish yellow tips at the top.. crack the stem, if it turns purple then your good

Oh & I certainly wouldn't be running anything over that I could potentially make money off it.

dude there are so many fucking shrooms when you go to the right places at the right times that ive picked 3 of those 5gallon black trashbags full in one go round. its crazy.
what high life posted is pretty much spot on. youll most likely be picking a psilocybe cubensis. Purple/blue bruising is what your looking for. If you want to be really safe pick one and set the cap right side up on a piece of tin foil over night in the dark. In the morning there will be a ring of spores underneath the cap. If they are purple or blue, eat that mother fucker. Try it if you dont believe me.
I would NOT recommend eating an amanita your first time, you tend yo get a little sicker on those. They are easy to spot cuz the tops are red and white, but cubes are easy to recognize as well.
