Mushroom ID Please

Tryingtogrow..u are talking about my previous post! An entire family got sick(didn't exactly know who died or really did)...I have chefs that go morel hunting(sucessfully I might boast) but nothing more since they don't know anything else but morels..and the assholes won't even give me any..lol..impman..find. some chefs who outsource shroom hunters..in norcal, and oregon, they are prevalant..and almost all chefs at least toke...in my experience..

Whoa whoa whoa back the fuck up. Are you telling me that high end restaraunts outsource to shroom hunters?!?! So shroom hunting is a real job that probably pays OK?! Those morels are so good. Well I am gonna be looking at careers in shroom hunting then. I am going for a major in Plant science after years of dodging school. i will be getting my major right when this marijuana industry is moving full steam into regulation and legalization, and a little shroom hunting side job wont hurt. Unless Shroom Hunting is a full time gig with benifits, then I will just shroom hunt in tall frumpy wizards hat.

People pay top dollar for truffles.

Truffles are difficult to find and very expensive as a result! In 1994, black truffles sold for $350 to $500 a pound. In the United States, edible truffles are collected in the forests of Oregon and Washington. In Europe, most truffles are collected in France and Italy.

Yea dude..lots of restaurants will run specials on any outsourced ingriedients..my dad sells tomatoes and peppers...shrooms are not off the list..last season I grilled lions mane fungus and had it over arugula with truffle oil..people ate it all..you could make at least 50$ a week on oyster and shittake and crimini at the restaurant I just quit...and the more exotic, the more $ you can charge..

Tylerrrr is correct..one truffle went for over 5k!!! In an auction...id make truffle salt or oil..kinda 'stretches' the truffle...

It is a large business, I know folks who can make half a year's income in 6 weeks being out in the woods. There are a number of mushrooms that have yet to be cultivated - and they bring a nice price.

If you know what you're doing it can be exceptionally lucrative, but you need to know where to look and the people who have spots are loathe to share them with you.
