music on while their sleeping?

Anyone think playing music in the room whilst in the dark cycle of 12/12 could be disturbing them and having an effect?

If you keep the volume down you should be just fine. I used to play really extreme music in the same room with my plants but always quietly.

thats cool then its not that loud and they are kept in utter darkness, was just thinking in terms of at night it would be alot quieter for plants growing outdoors, that it could be having some effect.

I know mythbuster's did an experiment with plants and music.

They were growing like Tomatoes or something, and in each room of tomatoes would get a different style of music. One got classical, the other got like metal, and the other classic rock I think.

Classic rock one won I think. Not sure if it's because of the music, as there could be several different underlying variables but still, kinda cool. I'm going to try and find it, hold on.

i cant stop laughin at this silly thread lol, music or sound has no effect on plant growth...
the reason why people say that talking to your plants helps is because we expel carbon dioxide as we talk or breathe out...

but playing music will definately have no effect, positive or negative

i didnt say anything about talking to them, jus making sure on the music and sound around them whilst they are a-kip.

How do you know? I take it you tried?

Plants definitely feel positive energy, they a living thing. We printed off smiley faces and play light elevator type music 24/7 and results were amazing.
