T-5 4x4' with some side CFL. Fox Farm but I've been having trouble on all the clones. Fan leaves dying off. Got some Revive from Advance Nutes. Hope that helps with the problem.

HID lights = dense buds I am afraid its possible with CFLs and T-5's but its hard work.

What is your cloning process ? Run me through it step by step and I will see if I can help.

Dence buds takes care, love and determination.

Lighting: Atleast 90 Wats Per Plant. 120 is better. (thats 4-5 / 400 Watt and 8-12 / 1000 Watt)
Air Flow: The plants need an air ecxhange happening around the leaves and pots at lease once every 5 mins. this restores Co2 and o2 to the plants.
Nutrients: Fixed nutrients are by far the best, this means they are readily available to the roots. there are 13 nutrients nessicary for survival, and plants can live on that. but there are over 64 different Compounds needed for a plant to survive. start researching bacteria, fungi, Plant rooting systems, and how to make nutrition compounds for the plants.
Temperature: Should be 26 C with lights on and 20 C with lights off.

After all of these facts are considered Genetics is KEY to having large, dense buds like these......
#1 BCBigBud(89BigbudxBC Chronic) x NYCDiesel
#2 Pure NYCDiesel

Edit: Cannabis cup winner in 1989: BigBud. NYCDiesel is an 8 time Cannabis cup winner..... i consider any Cannabis Cup Qualifieing strain a viable strain to grow. the genes HAVE TO be strong to qualify for the cup.

LOL. I quit if its just 2.5 per plant.

Grab a branch and cut to get at least a few leaves on top and where I can trim leaves that will be below the soil. Scrape skin off branch, roll in rooting compund and insert into hole in soil. In solo cups with cut off coke bottles as domes. About a week or so in there misting daily. Take the caps off and continue to mist another week or so. Remove the dome and mist some more. Works pretty good. Maybe 6 out of 7 survive. Its once they get good veg going or into flowe the fan leaves start eating away. Still tastey buds though. These are Carmelicious.

Lower = Better for THC production.

there is only one problem with low temperature : Humidity. if you can take care of that (which you have) you can run a room as cool as 10 C Lights on 5 C lights off :D i;ve seen it done once and i couldn't believe the amount of crystal. the buds were smaller, the but the Chrystal was insane.

plants grow faster in warmer environments, which is why the buds are "smaller". there is not as much weight as there would be at 25 on 20 off.

Dense buds require a hell of a lot of things, most of which have been covered here.

You can use large amounts of soil and load it with nutrients and just give them water or you can use a light mix that is easy to water through and have a lot of flexibility on your nutrients. Its all down to how you want to grow.

Now your plants dont look too bad but they are light starved by comparison to a HID. You need to make sure all your lights are within about 3 inches of the plant at all times to get decent yields from cfl's and floros.

Having a Happy healthy plant with a sturdy veg time that is kept on the hungry side of well fed until late in flower will pack on weight and give you fatty dense buds.

I dont think my buds will ever get dense enough I will just have to keep trying to make them as good as possible !

So with your clones they root ok and veg out ok but when you move them to flower the leaves start to die ?

At what point do you switch to a flowering food instead of a vegging food ?

If you're moving up from T5s to 400 watt you'll see a difference. I veg'd about two months, probably less, and got 4.5 ounces off one plant. The plant was Big Bud x Skunk #1

I wasn't impressed with the density of the nugs though. I got a 1000 watt system now, I just need the grow tent to be made
