Mutant plants?

We all want that special pheno... The one the produces the most, earliest, dankest bud... Some want taste, some want euphoric, and some want a nice couch lock.

But have any of you ever found a pheno that is just, well... Really odd? Some people claim to find a pheno that produces hallucinatory type highs. We hear about them from time to time :/

I ask because I seemed to found a pheno that produces some crazy plants... This pheno is stretched - I mean really stretched... Almost giving it the appearance of a plant/vine cross... It smokes different - almost smells like an incense when it burns, not like typical bud.... And lastly, I've had a couple friends claim it must have been sprayed with something cause they had trippy highs.

I guess where I'm going with all this is, have anyone heard of "mutant" plants that are just different? Can I have something special here or does everyone get something like this from time to time?

Sounds like it has a CBD to THC Ratio. What strain is it? Was it from seed or a cutting?

It was a freebie from either attitude or sos - I can't remember... It was suppose to be Delicious Seed Cotton Candy, but I grew that before and this is unlike it... Like I say, either a strange pheno of the cotton candy or somehow it got switched up at delicious seeds/seedbank...

Another couple traits I forgot to mention... Has a very sweet orange/citrus smell and the buds themselves are kinda strange looking... But maybe I just haven't been exposed to enough variations of plants to know any better.

I've been reading "Mendel's Laws" it's cool to see these traits. They'll grow hundreds of plants only picking the plants with the traits they want, but there's still a ratio of plants that have traits undesirable, but even with all the selection these traits show up. I hope you plan on keeping it going.

Haze pheno's grow spindly and stretched and funky like that. Another one i've seen (but dozen't really look like what you've got is Dr.Grinspoon, really weird strain.) It does look like a Cali-Orange/Agent Orange maybe Matanuska Thunderfuck; I've trimmed a lot of that shit for a dispensary and your photos and taste/smell descriptions fit it (the latter) to a "T". Although I could toke those strains all day as I would consider them kind of mild. Not hallucinatory at all. But, Different strokes Hope this helps identify! Good luck!

Haha, thanks! I didn't get that hallucinatory feel from it but two peeps I toke with said they did - I was a little confused when they told me but I know the one chick usually just smokes mexican brick weed so she's a little goofy to begin with, haha. Thanks for narrowing it down for me

I think I'll keep her going. I don't like the bud structure and the stretch but damn, I really love the orange/citrus smell

its genetics are lavender x power plant. that's where the citrus may be coming from. be prepared on the cotton candy tho as she will stretch like crazy once bloom beings so be prepared for the height or tie them down. takes a while to bloom to potential due to the sativa traits.

whats the flower time? man what i would do to get ahold of a clone of that!

there are tons and tons of strains i think there are mix up here and there with seeds and seed companies but also believe highly in having a special phenos out there. if i get one im keeping it as long as i can!

i think the best thing about special pheno from seed is knowing you have the only one =]

That's one beautiful sativa you have there. I would love just a .5g of that right about now. Sounds just the sort of weed I love.

I have a very tall stretchy haze dominant sugar punch going right now that I hope may be similar. But she looks very impressive dude.

Just had a look at 'cotton candy' on the attitude, and it has Hawaiian Sativa on one side of it's cross (amongst other things) and power plant on the other (which has south African sativa as it's main genetic). I could easily believe that what you have there is an expression of those two sides of its genetics.

Haha, Thanks guys... I'm deffo keeping this one around for awhile... I don't know what she is but the sweet orange smell is freaking awesome, IMO... EVeryone I given taste to loves her... The last person told me it taste like an orange sage when she burns. I never smelled sage burn so I gonna take their word for it.... But ya... I think she makes for a good smoke on her own and might also make fore some crazy offspring if she ever gets bred

I don't know... I grew 2 other CC and they were nothing like her - a sweet musk like scent which gets kinda old quick for me. But this one - I never get tired of her.

Haha... Keep in touch I might be persuaded to let a few clones of her find some good homes

I thought it sounded unlikely - but I've had some unique phenos before that were unlike any others from the strain. Unlikely in this case though if it was so different from the rest.

Ha ha - that would be nice with the clones. Not sure how possible it is though (I'm in the UK lol).

I suppose I could self pollinate her and see if the Cotton Candy pheno comes out in her seeds... If it does, then I know I got the CC bloodline... If not, then I know I got something completely off the wall here
