Mutt Seeds

Hey all,

Its almost time for me to start popping a couple more seeds, which I've pulled from nugs I got from Mile High Green Cross on like 9th and Broadway. The story from the budtender I spoke with (and I think she was also a manager or owner or something, as she seemed to know her stuff and was clearly in charge), was that someone walked through the grow room with pollen on his overalls, causing many of their girls to seed up. So, in short, all of my seeds are somewhat unknown -- mutts, so to speak -- although I don't care too much as long as the smoke's good in the end.

Anyway, I'm planning on germinating one Darth Maul mutt (which the packaging from the dispensary says is "a unique cut of OG") and one Sour Grape mutt (per packaging, "Sour Diesel x Grape Ape - 2011 High Times Cannabis Cup Winner"). Anyone have any tips, suggestions, etc., about any of these mutts?



To the extent it affects suggestions, I'm not quite as fancy as you all. I've got a 2' 4 bulb HO T5 panel up top with (currently) four CFLs for additional/side lighting in a space that's about 1' x 2' x 4' tall. I've currently got four plants in there, with the biggest a couple weeks from harvest, and the other three about two weeks into flower (run 12/12 from about a week or two of vegging). The plan is to veg the mutt seedlings (once they break the surface) under another single T5 HO until I harvest the big plant ("Planty" for anyone that's read my journal), then put the seedlings in with the others to start 12/12. I'm trying to sort of do a small perpetual 12/12 from seed(ling) thing to supplement my smoking habits. And now I'm starting to ramble.

Is it only that particular dispensary that has the seeds goin on? I have yet to get a seed from a dispensary bag.... I wouldn't argue with getting a few seeds of the Sour Tsunami crossed with something... I know that RiverRock crossed it with Pineapple something or other (I can just see Chef wincing at my inability to remember the proper genetics lol) because I had some and it was goooddd.

That one had a ton with seeds, and still might, but it's been about a month since I was there. Anyway, I bought several different strains with seeds (including the Banana Kush, which was apparently last year's cannabis cup winner and was AMAZING!), and got at least three out of each. I ended up pulling at least twenty seeds from various bags, and have a ton of Bruce Banner mutts and Darth Maul mutts. I also got several Double Bubbble Kush (allegedly Bubba 76 x Bubble Gum) mutts from a Fort Collins dispensary. I've been lucky, apparently, but one of the first questions I ask is whether they have anything with seeds.

Chef: if the thought of Bubba not remembering genetics makes you wince, I apologize for the pain this thread has caused you.

No wending here bud, I think bubba was a Cali strain wo nick info and was just bubba. The pre-98 looked kushy coffee paint thinner goodness, but that's about all I got so....

That did happen to their room at mile high..was a bummer. I have gotten seeds before from dispensaries..rarely though. Once from new age medicine on Sheridan. Luckily, it was abusive og which was phenomenal Bag seed is nothing to shame.....shit. That's how we got the d line from the magic 7 beans at a dead show right here in CO.
