MV lights? (mercury vapour)

Hey guys, anyone have experience with MV lights? I recently got one for free and id like to use it for vegging my soon-to-sprout seeds. Will it be any good? Its 400W

As far as i know they dont give out the right light spectrum and too much heat from them.
