If you get some spare time can you take another photo from your deck overlooking the garden? I love the last pic that you took from that view. I was wondering what it looks like now.

Thanks

Good morning Dragon, the little ones are still drying, doubt if I'll get more than 1 1/2 lbs off both? Will be bringing 2 more in around Tuesday, first one from a box...:bigjoint:

That's the Crooked Prairie, had some caterpiller damage so it's not as big as was when cut. Those Durbans are starting to fill out now, last 3 pics on last post..:blsmoke:

of course even i had to take a sample haha cant wait
Yea, the wife seems to have mellowed out as of late. Worms are munching the heck out of the Mango and she's wanting to pull it, only thing is it's still 2 to 3 weeks from being done. I'm for just letting it go and pull it when it's ready. We have 2 Mango and should yield over 5 lbs between them, (at least) so if the worms munch on 20% , that's still 4 lbs of good bud. Thoughts are appreciated...:peace:

Hodge, I have been reluctant to say anything because I'm only 1/2 way thru harvest. But, I have not lost 1 oz to worm damage. The "carport greenhouse" works great for worms!

I'm pretty sure for a couple of grand we could cover your entire grow area with these things. They would pay for themselves. I'll help you build them, you don't even need any tools!

I'm serious, think about this: 0% worm loss!

Peace

Appreciate that, were tearing this site out after this grow so it's up in the air if were even going to grow here again. We have our site up north where were building a cabin as I type, there's a garden there and have yet to find a caterpillar.
I tried to prevent these little boogers this year but to no avail, woke to 5 caterpillars crawling around on th floor under the 2 small plants we cut, this is after 5 sprayings, pheromone traps and even hand picking them. Can only imagine the number in the 2 Mangoes still in the garden? Screen house would be the way to grow in this area.
Wow, starting to sound like a chatty Cathy, lol. Thanks again for the offer and I really do appreciate it..:peace:

Hodge,
How do you cure your stuff? Do you use canning jars?, and I read on one of your posts (I think) that you said you just put extra plants in a barrel and get them when you need them? Do you trim, dry or how do you store them?

In the past I've always used plastic bags, trim them up and store them in a dark trunk until needed. Have used the seal a meal but for the most part just the glad or zip lock style bags. For security reasons I can't go into further detail on this years plan, once it's all over and done with, I'll post up the how and pics to show you..
