My 1000w Grow Tent

5'x5'x6' grow tent i have my big ass carbon filter connected to a 1000w tube light to my 400cfm fan. i am also going to add a 6" fan on the inlet and reduce it to 2 3" inlets to the tent. any opinions? this is my first indoor grow so i need advice. and also im not sure if i should use soil or go dwc in buckets damn so much ive done and so much still to do i need a bowl of skywalker

I dont see any problem really with your suggested ventilation van (as long as it's cfm is less than 400). As for grow type.. well.. every grower has their own way. I've done a bunch of soil grows but am kind of curious about DWC myself. You mentioned this is your first indoor grow- I dont mean to belittle your growing experience, but soil may make it easier to learn the quirks of an indoors grow since it's more stable and similar to outdoors mediums. Also, I have gotten great results with soil, there's really no "NEED" for DWC, it's just slightly beneficial if you get it right (devastating if you get it wrong).

One ingredient is missing still- what strains you gonna grow?

seriously though coco is great. Very easy to deal with. What strains will you run? What nutes?

i have 3 Violator Kush, 1 Grapefruit Kush, 1 Super Sour OG, 1 Quasar, 1 White Dwarf and 1 Emrald Jack. and im using fox farm nutes.

the roots started creeping out from under so i put them in grow blocks soaked in ph 6.8 water(tap) and after i put then all ini watered the center rockwool with my first fox farm big bloom feeding. ahhh now its time for some louis xviii

hello fam,hey bug jon make sure u dont burn ur girls and that 400 cfm fan with filther and light might be a little on the under side . that 1000w light gets HOT it could send ur temps into the 90's. u might want to think about adding another 6 inch one on the light and the other on the filther.i have almost the same setup.6 inch fan on a blockbuster hood and a 6 inch fan on a12 x 24 filther, 4x4 ebb & drain system with a 40 gal rez.
you could get more plants in that tent with planning.for example, read Al B fuct post and learn about singal colas and do the math.

ya i believe u man i only have a 400 in it right now ant it gets into the mid 80s some times. i have a booster 130 fan on my intake do you think that would help if i got one for the exaust?
