my 1st dwc grow using 1000w mh/hps . i have 2 vanilla kush, 1 purple haze, 1 cataract kuch , and a haze automatic left. they all were transplanted from soil about 4 weeks ago. will be switching to 12/12 tomorrow

How is that 1000W HPS/MH I have the same light but veg with the T5 30k lumen because of the electricity bill... One thing I will say though is that 1000W HPS is kick ass in flower.. fat buds !!

i ran 2 1000s and ill take 3 600s over the 2 1000s any day of the week. keep in mind that you get more distribution of light and can place the 600s far closer to the plant than a 1000w bulb, thus more lumens to your plant.hers the lumens for a 1000, 1 foot from bulb is 140,000 2 feet away is 35,000 3 feet away is 15,555 and 4 feet is 9999. the 600 is, 1 foot away 90,000 lumens 2 feet away 22,500 3 feet away 9,999 and 4 feet away is 6428. now keep in mind that most people who run 1000s keep the lights 2 to 3 feet above the colas. i can place my 600s as close as 6 inches and still see temps below 85. i prefer to keep the lights about 10 to 12 inches from the colas. so for example, a friend of mine runs 2 1000s and keeps his lights about 3 feet from the tops, so his plants recieve approx 15,555 lumens. i keep mine 10 to 12 inches from the tops so my plants receive far more lumens ,approx 90,000. to each their own. do what works for ya.

here is a little update on day 2 of flowering. i currently alson have 2 midnight kush, 2 blue widows, 1 black widow, and a superlemon haze veggin right now under an ufo led light. i have the haze autoflower in the 12/12 section is that ok or does it need more than 12 hrs of light? the leaves are starting to turn a bit yellow.

I read that in Jorge Cervantes Growers Bible thanks dude for showing the number of Lumens for the different type lights.. Maybe after Uncle Sams tax refund I will invest in 2 600W .. Thanks again dude.

i assume the "show" is an uneducated argument on whether a 600 or 1000 is better??? not gonna happen here buddy. i simply stated my opinion, a few facts, and left the conversation saying do what works for ya.

week 3 of flowering and One of my vanilla kush was a male so i chopped him. i think the haze automatic is almost ready imma give it a couple more weeks.
